Lovely hotel, a good 4 out of 5 from me The hotel is impressive looking, especially at night. The pools are lovely and staff great. I was especially touched by the effort Irina, Debi and Demitris put into make sure my partner had a very special 60th birthday at the resort. The hotel group also own a farm which you can visit and enjoy a fabulous meal as part of the package. A sister hotel has a water park which we enjoyed too. Our room was a fabulous location with a little garden leading right out to the pool. It was a little dated but perfectly functional. The swim up rooms looked amazing but i rarely saw people in the water. Not sure how suited they would be for kids. My one frustration was the a la carte restaurants. You have to book 6 days in advance and you are limited as to how many times you can use them. Although the buffet was by far one of the best we have experienced, we much prefer to have an a la carte dinner. We maxed out our booking slots (accepting we would have a handful of buffet meals, but did this before we knew about the hotel entertainment schedule. We had to forgo two a la carte restaurants in order to enjoy the entertainment. Also worth noting for families that one restaurant is only available for 12+ guests and another published on the website is only open in high season so we had a greek, Italian and asain available to us. The hotel has a lovely chocolate shop and does fabulous desserts (although very chocolate based). There is a crepe and waffle place open till 6pm. the buffet closes after mealtimes. I understand the bar offers late night snacks. The drinks are good quality although I have to say the drinks from the long bar by the restaurants are by far superior. Shame there isn’t a lounge area to sit at there. Would I go again, probably. I must admit though the offer at Mitsis with the creperie open til 2am and the a la carte ‘street food’ by the pool is a bit more suited to our tastes.

Warm greetings from Germany! This was my fourth visit to Grecotel Caramel Boutique Hotel, and as always we had a wonderful time there! The resort has a magical atmosphere and a very beautiful setting, full of different flowers and plants as well as a gorgeous beach. A perfect place to relax and enjoy! But what makes this hotel so special is the pleasent team✨ I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for ensuring that my stay was delightful and comfortable! A special commendation to Mr. Alex from the a la carte restaurant. Together with his stellar team, they truly exceeded expectations. The culinary delights, from main courses to desserts and drinks, were not only of the highest quality but also tantalizingly delicious and beautifully presented. Every evening I enjoyed great food, live music, and a lovely service. My warmest appreciation goes out to the entire staff! Their kindness, efficiency, hospitality and genuine warmth contributed immensely to the overall experience! Lovely greetings and a thank you to the beautiful ladies with sweet hearts: Soula, Litsa, Konstantina, Maria, and the gentlemen: Oggy, Grigorios, Dimitri, Arbri, and of course everybody else!!! Solo traveler. April/may. 2/3 nights. 2nd floor. 1 pers room. 2 personal bed. A TV with a lot of broadcasts. The opportunity to put a cup of tea for yourself and write to the desk some cards to your family and friends or to go to a nice small but nice balcony and enjoy. Steady mattresses fine kitchens. Extra covers in the box if necessary. Spacious box to lose all your stuff. The safe and refrigerator are present. Long mirrors to be able to admire yourself before you go out of the door. Dark curtains. Nice bathroom, fine shower, shampoo and soap. Rooms are kept clean by the hard-working people of the cleaning. Breakfast is extensive and delicious. Personnel at the reception friendly and helpful. Kitchen staff and service also very friendly and helpful. The pool is present. But it wasn't filled since it was April. Fitness room present only not made time to use it. There's also the possibility to wash your clothes. Rethimno center/old town at walking distance. Many shops and food facilities in the surrounding area. I recommend a stay in this hotel.

Fantastic hotel. The staff here (especially the staff who run the bar ) are fanstastic - we couldnt fault them at all. Friendly, attentive, polite - just lovely. Pool - lovely sized pool , very clean , beds all in very good condition (no plastic / broken beds at all) and generally was one umbrella for every 2 beds. This was the first hotel ive stayed in where you didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn to get a bed - if you did this and did not use your bed for hours then staff would remove towels . Staff will take your drinks orders while you sunbathe and then bring them over to you and take away any empty glasses etc - so the poolside was always very clean. lots of sofas . chairs & tables, to sit at round the pool - some in sun and some in the shade so something for everyone. The bar also was very comfortable to sit in if you wanted to get our of the sun. Upstairs seating area also available - very beutifully lit at night so was a lovely area to sit in for drinks in the eveninig. Again table service for drinks made for very chilled evenings. Rooms were fantastic. Beds very comfortable and rooms cleaned every day unless you didnt want them to . Bathrooms were modern and clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. Food was superb. Staff always happy to get you a table wherever you wanted to sit - again drinks orders were taken and brought to your table. Food always plentiful and very well labelled. Huge range of dishes. Beach is less that 5 minutes away - Popeye watersports is on the beach and were very good. Old town is 20-30 minute walk depending on where you wanted to get to. Would highly recommend this hotel - fantastic staff and hotel - would definately return.

Amazing! Everything was lovely from start to finish. The staff were so lovely- very helpful and accommodating, and the rooms were lovely and clean. The food buffets were decent, especially compared to some all inclusive hotels, and always left you satisfied and full. We also booked on with the on site restaurant (which is included in the all inclusive) and I would rate it an 8/10. Although we never went to any shows, the animation team that stayed round the pool were hilarious and always made the time to talk to you and wish you a good morning. There are 3 different pools (one with a swim-up bar) you can go to and we never struggled to get a sunbed (however, we did go at the end of October) and there are lots of facilities and activities onsite to keep you entertained. There is a little private beach for the hotel occupants with a bar to accompany (however this bar is not included with the all inclusive). There is also water sports down the road who were also very nice and we managed to rent our own private boat for an hour for €75. I would also recommend the Little Train Tours with Michalis. We enjoyed every second with him and did both tours we liked it that much! All in all I would 100% recommend this hotel! The only thing that knocked it down for me was the safe was €3 a night and this was not stated when we booked- especially when we got an unexpected tourist tax on arrival too. Also, even though we did get a view of the sea (slightly) this was covered mostly by trees so little hit disappointing that we paid extra for this. It should have been advertised as sea facing.

The hotel is pleasantly located by the sea, 30 minutes walk from the port, with a pretty garden. The swimming pools are very pleasant and the deckchairs comfortable. The staff is pleasant, smiling, but not up to standard for a hotel of this standard. Training problems are obvious: tables not necessarily cleared, non-compliance with orders. The rooms were not cleaned very well, and often we had to ask reception to have it corrected. I regret having paid extra for a suite, whereas with a classic sea view room the view was much more beautiful, and the facilities of the classic room were better: my terrace lacked something to put wet clothes on for to dry them, in the bathroom no shelf to put things on, it's really problematic for an establishment of this standard. Just like in the wardrobe, it was impossible to put the clothes down, I had to leave them on the desk even though there was a lot of empty space that could have been used as a shelf. This is not normal. The valet parking service is appreciable. Overall I am satisfied with my stay, but you have to be careful, because the price is high and the services are not necessarily up to par.
