The place is beautiful, nothing to add. A very special mention to perfect service. From an Italian point of view, definitely overpriced (not the room itself but everything else)

My boyfriend and I stayed at Romazzino as it had just been taken over by the Belmond. In terms of the hotel and architecture, it was beautiful with traditional decor but none of it felt tired. Our room was lovely, and had definitely been refreshed whilst keeping with the traditional Sardinian style. Service was where we experienced teething issues - the staff were all extremely friendly and happy to help, however, more training was required - for example, the wrong dishes being brought out at breakfast, wrong coffee and long waiting times. However, after speaking with the manager, this considerably improved with our last two breakfasts’ making them much smoother. The staff throughout the hotel (from the restaurants, to the beach and pool) were all highly attentive. The beach was just incredible - definitely the highlight of staying at Romazzino, the water was captivating and they reserve the same beds for you for the duration of the trip which allowed us to relax at breakfast and not have to rush down to the beach to secure beds. There are 2 pools, one saltwater and one chlorine - both are simply divine with the comfiest sun loungers in the world (like mattresses!). The outdoor gym was amazingly done, with sea-views and a great range of equipment. In terms of food, I would say it’s a little restricted in terms of small menu’s, so we tended to go out for dinner….but the lunch offering is great with multiple pastas, fishes, meats, salads etc. The pasta’s were some of the best we’ve ever had, so fresh and good variety each day. Overall, I would return to Romazzino and I can’t say enough for the managerial staff who took our feedback on board and we saw great changes just within our 5 night stay. I am sure this is only the start of what’s to come!

Da wir fast alle "Belmond - Hotels" in Italien kennen und lieben gelernt haben, war das Romazzino an der Costa Smeralda unser nächstes Ziel, als wir von der Übernahme durch Belmond gehört haben. Das absolute Highlight des Resorts ist sicherlich die traumhafte Lage direkt an einem wunderbaren Sandstrand von Porto Cervo mit einer in weiß gehaltenen Hotelanlage im Retro-Charme der 1960er-Jahre. Das Ambiente der Gesamtanlage mit der gepflegten Gartenanlage mit Pools war für uns ganz große Klasse und in der Form einmalig....Aus unserer Sicht sind wir bei der Neu-Eröffnung durch Belmond aber von renovierten Zimmern auf den neuesten Stand ausgegangen. Das traf leider aber nicht zu...Das höher gelegene Frühstücks - Restaurant bot jeden Morgen einen fantastischen Ausblick auf die traumhafte Bucht und auch das Essen war nicht zu beanstanden; wir konnten uns keinen besseren Beginn in den Tag vorstellen. Nicht so das Abendessen, was bei den hohen Preisen u.E. eine Zumutung war. Die Vielzahl der sehr bemühten Mitarbeiter war auch für Luxushotels außergewöhnlich hoch, aber manchmal ein wenig überfordert. Insgesamt stimmte das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis nicht; wir gehen aber davon aus, daß Belmond schnell Abhilfe schafft...

We came for lunch and were told the buffet was €200, which had the worst selection of food. The salad was very disappointing and so was everything else, the menu only catered to people who liked fish. We then decided to just get some water, we asked for the bill and had to wait 35 minutes to receive it and was told it was coming but there was a problem however on our third time of asking we was told we had to pay at reception, so we had to walk to reception to pay our bill after waiting 35/40 minutes. Definitely not worth the price & the service was disappointing.

An incredibly expensive hotel should make you feel incredibly pampered. Not here. The regulars who return annually get doted upon. Newbies, ignored. The first room we were offered was at the nexus of a busy corner. Had to plead to be moved to a quiet place. Showers by pool had tiles falling off. Amenities were nice. Food was good, not great. Breakfast rather a disappointment. Save money and go someplace where you're welcome

After lunch we decide to go and see Romazzino beach, since we had just finished lunch we decide to drink two coffees and have a coca-cola. The only bar present is that of the Hotel Romazzino, we sit down, the staff not even that kind, comes over and gives us the menus, the drinks were not listed, but only the dishes for the meals were present. We call the staff present and ask for two coffees and a coca-cola for a total of €33.00. Now, we pay without problems, but we don't understand at all the reason for these amounts, why does a coffee cost €9???? Because of the location of the hotel? Really ? But if you want to exploit the reputation of the Costa Smeralda, why does a coffee cost €1.50 in the center of Portò Cervo and almost 10 times as much in the bar of any hotel? The motivation is not supported by any logical explanation other than to make fun of people. A dish in a restaurant is very different because there can be a starred chef behind the creation and therefore the prices can also be justified, but a coffee or a Coca-Cola cannot. Simple mockery.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful furniture, beautiful setting but then the catastrophic service. The catering is lousy, the waiters are bitter. The butlers are useless and harass us. When we ask for no entry into the room they still enter. And to top it all off, the spa isn't any better. Actually nothing is wrong with this hotel. Run away.

One of the best hotels we ever stayed. The property was fantastic, the service was excellent and the food was great. We loved it so much that we plan to go back next year. From the personnel at the front desk, to the concierge, the waiters, etc- everyone was polite, helpful and a delight to be with.
