The hotel is located on a very busy street! It looks very classy in the entrance area, but when you get to the floors, everything is pretty old! We had booked a comfort plus double room in a quiet location. But what we got was an absolute disgrace! It was quiet, but where was the comfort? When I opened it there was a musty smell! The room was relatively large, but only had a small window facing the shaft. Ventilate the room properly...none! And should we stay here for two days? I immediately went back to reception and asked for another room. Since we arrived relatively early, I was given a key and we could go take a look. This room was no longer quiet because it was on the side street to the main street, but it had 4 windows and it no longer smelled of damp. We decided to stay here. The poor who got the other “dungeon”! Comfort Plus room, I'm not laughing! We imagined it would be a little more comfortable, because the brighter room didn't have any comfort either. Old carpet, old beds, a chimney shaft right through the room (noise until around 11 p.m.), old furniture, etc. But the breakfast was awesome! The dining room resembled that of a canteen or barracks. I've never seen anything so loveless! There was a bit of everything, but fresh is different...yogurt and fruit salad! The rolls and croissants, on the other hand, were baked and refilled every minute... but only 5-10 rolls at a time!??? Guess you didn't want any leftovers at the end of breakfast. Many guests had to wait until a few rolls were brought back, but we were there earlier and were lucky! But for us guests this is anything but desirable! Also the jams...two types in open bowls. One of them was practically empty and so the next day there was only one left on offer! No label about what you put on the bread, nothing! We've lost our appetite, but breakfast is almost the most important meal of the day for us! A highlight, however, was the coffee machine. You could have some really fine coffee there. Actually didn't fit in this breakfast room at all! We were happy when we were able to leave after two days. We have never experienced anything so unfriendly (apart from the service at the bar in the evening)! You are not welcome...it just gives you work! But the money is welcome! We have already been traveling on the Main for 14 days and have visited such beautiful hotels and met great people. But here in the "Wilden Mann"...thank you never again! There is still something positive: the bicycle garage has direct access to the hotel. This makes it easier with your luggage.
