Why I choose this hotel is just for my dream to clime the Penang hill and the temple near by. I have been to there in Penang about 50 years ago as a single tourist. At that time the customs officer took my 25 dollar bill. I was too shock and could not say anything. This time I came here just to see my old penpal relatives and her sisters. My old pen friend herself lives in Australia and I could not see her. I had a very pleasant memories in Penang this time. also in KL. I myself went to climb Penang hill with my wife. also the temple just beside the hotel. The hotel here the service is so good and the worker is so kind. If we need something and say something, they will happily give it to us. The location is perfect to climb Penang hill and also walk to the temple there. KL changed a lot but Penang is still the same. Penang looks like so old as a city,but that is the best part of Penang. People goy old just like Penang got old. But you will find something you did not noitice there. Go and enjoy your Penang. and do stay at Devew Hotel there. One more thing I recommend you is the ice cream shop just beside the hotel called I chan. It is still a young ice cream store but the owner teach the worker so kindly.Go and enjoy the ice there. It was so nice !

Good and clean local runs 3 star hotel. will return for sure .
Plenty of local good eats , just next to the ayer Itam wet market with hundreds of morning food stalls and restaurents all within walking distant.
afternoon Char Keuh Teow , penang curry noodles etc .

Like the place as it was closed to Kek Lok Si.
My kids favourite food is Miso soup on breakfast list 🥰
Overall it's satisfying stay.
