Not new to the zone, it's not a bad one but the hotel is under maintenance yet still open, so much noise and not very clean either.

Does the person have to pay again? Why? The answer: taxes. I have already paid for the accommodation with taxes. (Receptionist):- it's only four dinars and I will give you the key as soon as you pay. It's really a nightmare, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent location not far from the center and easily reachable from the airport in 10 minutes by taxi. The hotel has an elegant, spacious, bright and well-furnished lobby with 24-hour reception service. Cozy bedroom, clean and with comfortable beds, I slept well. Excellent and abundant buffet breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend the hotel.

Excellent catering, the staff very kind and helpful especially the receptionist on the morning of 10/12/2023, and very welcoming. I thank the chef, he left us two delicious sea bream for dinner and the waiters, essentially a very intentional young man (khalil). The atmosphere is very family-friendly. I will come back soon.

How can you-Hotel ibn khaldoun allow your own staff or persons connected to Harass and Disturb guest(just as myself) because some government officials(fbi, tunisian officials) have told you to bother and surveill me?  You had your staff use an unoccupied room(s) below my room and Blast the television to the max volume all through the night for over 10 hours!!  I addressed this issue with the reception desk person-Methlouithini and some other of their "colleagues" and they lied and stated that the targeted, blatant noise disturbance from rooms 714, 716 would be resolved and it wasn't.  Obviously, I will Never stay at this establishment and implore everybody else never to patronize this hell hole Ever!

The appreciation of my stay is quite mixed. Because I have to recognize and appreciate the modern decoration and the state of the room which seems to have been recently renovated. The meals were also good and varied. However, I had to make concessions on many things during my stay, such as the poor quality of the wifi connection throughout the stay.

It was a terrible experience at first that turned later to below average. I was surprised with a rude person who did my checkin. He was unprofessional, nor did he have the attitude neither the look of guest reception. The room was dirty, I had to change it ( I found dirty sheets and hair on the bed) the 2nd room was also dirty. The room had AC but they turned it off, the same rude guy from the reception was telling guests that the season for AC has not started when it was very hot and humid in there. They also activate the keycard for 48h then you have to go ask them to reactivate it again. They said the system had a problem but I guess they were doing it on purpose to make people go to the reception just in case. The room service was not on a daily basis and the breakfast was terrible. I’ll never go back.

For a 3 star hotel it barely makes 1 star. Everything is dated and barely working. On enquiring why my room had no telephone I was told that none of the rooms have telephones and the receptionist gave me his mobile number.
