Quirky and unique We booked it as an emergency on the morning of our stay. We felt very welcome on arrival, Terry and Lynette are great hosts and happy to deliver whatever you need for you. The property is very old, "historic" is the right description, so be prepared for the "quirkiness" and mild inconveniences that come with it. We stayed in an on suite room and that was fine. Breakfast is cooked literally "whatever you like and how you like it", accompanied by stories of the property going back to the 12th century, if you are interested, of course.

Basic Overnight B&B All the basics were very good, v good Breakfast, adequate Bed, tea tray, shower room, tv. So requirement for a budget overnight stay met. Friendly hosts, arrival met with a needed mug of tea ! Appearance compared with photos was disappointing, set direct on main road and a fair bit of work in progress apparently. Not so much 'historic' than 'old'

Unique. A unique experience. Terry the owner couldn't do enough for us. The original room was not suitable for my husband's needs so he gave us the choice of 2 more rooms. We were fascinated with the history of the building and loved hearing about it.

Very welcoming. We were made to feel very welcome. All our needs were met. The only negative was it was freezing in the rooms at night as the heating went off. Downstairs in the kitchen was lovely and warm with a gorgeous coal fire. Overall we were happy.
