Das Zimmer war auch nach zweimaliger Aufforderung bei der Anreise nicht sauber. Der Dreck meines Vorgängers auch bei meiner Abreise noch vorhanden. Ein wahrer Genus , beim Frühstück am Sonntag, die nicht einmal aufgebackenen Semmeln vom Vortag.

Horror hotel, dirty room ,carpet dirty ,bathroom smels urine, feeling not safe . Reception only 9.30 until 18.00 not friendly personal . Breafast worthless. Parking garage not safe very dirthy . Conclusion very bad hotel no recommanidation at all .

We boekten twee nachten in het Savoy Hotel Badmergenthein met een voucher Toen we bij het hotel aankwamen hadden we geen goed gevoel, het was erg gedateerd. De receptionist, een oudere, wat verwarde heer, sprak ons aan en vroeg ons meteen om de toeristenbelasting contant te betalen, hij had geen wisselgeld, betalen met pinpas was niet mogelijk! Hoe dan ook, we kregen de sleutel van onze kamer op de vijfde verdieping in het bijgebouw. Het hotel was erg verlaten, veel kamers ongebruikt. Toen we op de vijfde verdieping aankwamen, stonden de deuren van de hotelkamers open en was het erg warm. Het gaf ons de indruk van een oud, verlaten ziekenhuis. We hoorden een kraan lopen, gingen kijken, de kraan van een douche stond open, en het warme water stroomde volop het doucheputje in. Het tapijt was schandalig. Mijn vrouw voelde zich angstig en onzeker, waar ik het volledig mee eens was. We hebben toen besloten om het hotel te verlaten daar dit voor ons een brug te ver was! De receptionist wilde dat we een andere kamer namen, maar we weigerden. De beschrijving van het hotel komt helemaal niet overeen met de werkelijkheid, zwembad en sauna gesloten en het restaurant vanaf eind juli 's-avonds. We hebben dit schrijven ook naar het hotel gestuurd maar ontkennen het meeste! We hebben veel over de hele wereld gereisd, maar dit hebben we nog nooit meegemaakt, Duitsland onwaardig!

The property is very aged. Our room (junior suite), did not have upholstered armchairs as pictured online but rather very hard and small patio chairs. The shower is in the bathtub and the tub is dangerously high and narrow. No slip protection provided and it was very awkward to get out of the tub. The pressure on the showerhead was close to nothing when warm water was selected. On cold water the pressure was great, but taking a cold shower was not an option. Our counter around the sink was sticky. Room service did not clean the bathroom upon request but provided towels and toilet paper only.
When we arrived we also had no choice but to purchase tickets for the Kurpark. This was an additional mandatory expense per receptionist and we were not able to opt out. Entrance for the Kurpark is €2.50 per day. We were charged €28 for 3 days.
Our suite was on the 7th floor. There was also the sun terrace. The patio furnitures were not in condition to be used. All of them were damaged in one way or another.
On the morning of our departure the elevator did not work. The two of us had 4 suitcases and some smaller luggage as we were in Germany x 4 weeks. As I mentioned before we were on the 7th floor and now we had to drag or heavy luggage to the 3rd floor so we could turn in our key to the cook who was there at 6:30AM preparing breakfast. He assisted us to fully get out of the hotel as reception did not start until 10 AM.
The only good thing in this hotel was the breakfast bar.

Haben hier Stopp auf Radtour gemacht und waren sehr zufrieden. Tolles Restaurant, Sauna und Pool intakt, sehr guter Service

und Hotels mit Kurtaxenpflicht werde ich künftig möglichst meiden. Die Standartzimmer scheinen aus dem Jahre 1984 zu sein, es ist wohl in fast 40 Jahren noch niemandem aufgefallen, das man im Bett ohne Genickstarre zu bekommen, die Nachrichten im TV nicht sehen kann. Die Lichtleiste über dem Kopfteil ist im Weg. Das hatte ich so glaube ich auch noch nicht. Zur Gastronomie kann ich nichts sagen, ein Abendessen ab 50,-€ für Zwei aufwärts ist in meinem Budget leider nur in Ausnahmen drin.

The photos on the hotel's website do not correspond at all to what you find. We had a room on the 5th floor of the building next door. The elevator was broken, so we had to climb a lot of stairs with luggage! The bathroom was a wet room, no tiles but plastic paneling that was moldy in the corners. The sink had cracks, the toilet was brown inside. The room stank of disinfectant. On the way to breakfast we had to ask the cleaning staff to step aside and move the vacuum cleaner out of the way so we could pass. Breakfast was good. Back in the room we found that someone had been there and had moved our luggage to the side in the bathroom. Even though we had the "Do not disturb" sign on the door! It had not been cleaned, but the bathroom door was open and the suitcase had been put away in the bathroom. An inquiry at reception revealed that it must have been the caretaker. However, we could not find out who actually entered our room. The broken elevator meant that the cleaning staff could not transport the fresh towels and bed linen with the laundry cart. As a result, fresh laundry was lying on the floor in the hallways before being distributed to the rooms. The carpet in the hallways is even dirtier than that in the rooms. The swimming pool is subject to a fee of €9.50 per person. The charging station costs both the parking and charging fees. Not recommended!
