Although my plane landed late, it was tricky to get to the area via taxi, but when I arrived late the reception was very helpful and helped me organise my stay. I had a great time there.

The hotel was a wonderful stop along the way from San Jose to Drake Bay. Hotel and pool were beautiful with amazing views toward the ocean. Staff was friendly and professional. Rooms were clean and well amenitized. Be ready for a rocky road up but well worth it. Perfect stop.

Un lugar con una vista espectacular, aunque el acceso es por una calle de una sola vía y muy empinada. El área de las piscinas, bar y restaurante es la que tiene la mejor vista, la comida es deliciosa y a buen precio. El único problema es que ir a las habitaciones puede ser cansado por lo empinado del terreno, pero el total da transporte si es necesario.

Un lugar hermoso, el área de la piscina y restaurante muy cuidada, con una vista espectacular. La atención del personal en la zona del restaurante y bar es excelente. La comida riquísima. Un lugar muy tranquilo y lindo ambiente. Los puntos a mejorar son los baños de la habitación, ya que se ven descuidados y la atención de la joven de la recepción

El servicio en general estuvo súper bien, nos recibieron muy bien y nos dieron todas las indicaciones. Esteban fue muy servicial y nos ayudó con todas las preguntas que nos surgieran tanto del hotel como del exterior. Un servicio de calidad. El último día conocimos a lucas en el desayuno Lucas fue muy amable y sumamente agradable. Ellos 2 y todo el equipo hacen un excelente servicio al cliente de calidad. La comida estuvo buenisima. Yes, it’s quite a hill to get there but the view is amazing. They have 2 infinity pools, which was great because my 4 yo was able to play in one of them. Let me tell you about the staff: top notch! All of them were friendly, accommodating, making my little ones feel noticed and cared for. Very comfortable rooms and all with amazing views. The food at the restaurant was delicious. And they had quite the variety of fruit juices. We stayed 4 days and it was just amazing. They are great at helping you book tours, But, If you book any tours with them, inquire on location of tours and how far from the hotel (we had one that was 30 minutes from it. Since it was rainy season and it rained almost every afternoon, the driving back and forth and with the rain, it took our pool time away from us. Not their fault tho). I wish there was a Vista Ballena hotel at every location in Costa Rica that we have gone. Oh and prices were great. Ask for any deals on packages that involve food. We had breakfast and dinner included and they were delicious.

The views were amazing, the food was delicious but the rooms were very outdated can use some remodeling and the road to the place is bad very steep not paved and not wide enough for two cars to pass...
