Buah Bali Villas We are in the Seminyak area (near Potato Head) where there are many restaurants, clubs and shops. If you are looking for a slightly spartan solution, with two bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) a patio with a small private pool, a solution without too many frills and with a lot of privacy, and you are a fanatic of Eat Pray Love, this is the solution for you. If instead you are looking (like me) for understated luxury, 5* service and great comfort, you should look for another solution. The reception is very spartan (and that is an understatement), the safes are in reception and not in the room and only work with a key and not a combination. The electrical sockets in the room are really bad and to charge your cell phone you have to unplug the lamp but even then they do not make good contact. In the end I was forced to charge it in the bathroom. There is very little free space both to put your things down and to put them in the wardrobes which are also very dated. The bathroom is open with an outdoor shower. English: The bed in our room is very comfortable and has a sort of canopy with a partially closeable curtain, which serves no purpose except to gather dust. The positive thing is that the villa is immersed in silence and you can rest very well. Also, if you stay more than 4 nights you will have a free poolside massage. Breakfast: you choose a time and only one type of breakfast is available per person (for example eggs and bacon, or crepes with fruit or pancakes) with a drink included, breakfast that will be brought directly to the patio area by some kind and smiling Balinese girls. Unfortunately the breakfast is not satisfactory, the croissants are dry, you can't eat them, the crepes filled with fruit are good, but you can't eat crepes every day. Espresso is not available, only American-style coffee. Luckily, not far from the villa there is an amazing French pastry shop where you can buy delicious croissants and Pain au Chocolat as if you were in Paris. For example, from the second day we preferred to have breakfast in the pastry shop. A shuttle is available (free) that can take you to the airport or even for an errand in Seminyak. The villa as a whole is a spartan solution in my opinion (my wife liked it instead), with a decidedly negative quality-price ratio. I spent about 2000 euros (prepaid) in August for 5 nights including breakfast (which we practically never had). At these prices in Bali I expect much more, much more refined and well-kept rooms, modern electrical systems, in-room safe, refined breakfast with many choices, etc. To summarize: Pros - Central location - Privacy - Silence - Wi-Fi - Kind and smiling service - Free shuttle Cons - Price absolutely too high for the quality of the offer - Furnishings to be totally revised - Non-functional electrical sockets - Poor
