Severely Disappointed with Our Experience I recently attended a very special family birthday celebration at Mount Wolseley, and I cannot express how disappointed I am with the entire experience. What should have been a joyous and memorable occasion was completely ruined by poor service, unacceptable standards, and shocking incidents. 1. Shocking Service and Timing Issues: The service was nothing short of disgraceful. We sat down for dinner at 8:30 pm, yet the starter wasn’t served until 9:20 pm. Bizarrely, the soup arrived first, followed by bread rolls – completely out of sequence. To make matters worse, dessert wasn’t served until 11:30 pm, leaving guests frustrated and hungry. This level of disorganization is completely unacceptable. 2. Cold and Unappetizing Food: The food, when it finally arrived, was cold and lacked any care in preparation or presentation. 3. Unacceptable Cleanliness: The accommodations were filthy. Dirt was evident throughout the property, and cigarette butts were scattered in plant pots outside. It was clear that cleaning standards were non-existent. 4. Rude and Unhelpful Staff: The staff were consistently rude and dismissive, showing no effort to make guests feel welcome or comfortable. 5. Plastic in Dessert: The final straw was discovering pieces of plastic on the plate and in the dessert – an apple and berry pie. I was completely appalled and could not believe this could happen in any establishment, let alone one purporting to be of high standard. This was both dangerous and utterly unacceptable. 6. Management’s Indifference: When I attempted to raise these issues with a senior manager, I was met with complete indifference. There was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to address the appalling experience. To sum up, this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a venue. The event was mishandled from start to finish, and the lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and care shown by Mount Wolseley was appalling. I would strongly advise others to avoid this venue for any event or occasion.

I just want to give a shout out to the lovely people who work in mount Wolverley, especially the staff of the leisure centre. The changing rooms and showers were spotless. The pool was just nicely heated. The staff were really helpful especially Jay. Any questions I had he answered no problem and couldn't do enough to insure that my experience at the leisure centre was a 10/10.

The hotel itself is beautiful and immaculately clean, but it was the incredible staff who made my stay memorable. They were all wonderful, and Fi-fi at reception was particularly outstanding. I had made a mistake with my booking, and she went above and beyond to help me resolve it quickly and efficiently. Her kindness and professionalism were greatly appreciated and set the tone for the rest of my very enjoyable stay. My thanks to all.

Extremely dissatisfied with how issues during my stay were handled - there was a party going on next door which wasn’t handled and no follow up as promised.

My experience at Mount Wolseley was exceptional, highest credit towards the Leisure Centre staff. I joined in on Leah’s Pilates class, which is just one of the amazing studio classes available at the Mount. It was extremely enjoyable, her work ethic was admirable. She made it very easy for people all of fitness levels to enjoy. Troy was also extremely helpful in any questions I had about the facilities. He gave me a tour of the gym, which was extremely well kept, organised and easy to navigate. From my wonderful stay at the Mount, the Leisure Centre was definitely my highlight, most importantly due to the incredible attitude and enthusiasm from the staff!

Just home after a weekend away with my partner in Mount Wolseley Hotel, which was a hotel I was obsessed with as a child but honestly don't think I'll be back. Food was alright, nothing great but staff were lovely so wasn't as big of a deal to us. Biggest issue I had was on saturday night I had a bath and while I was letting the water drain and was about to get dressed there was a knock at our room door and very quickly after the knock the door was being opened by a male staff member informing us there was a leak downstairs due to the bath water. I can honestly say I was in the bath 10-15 minutes max and my partner had gotten a bath the night before with no issues. The problem with this is the fact we barely had a chance to respond to the knock before the room door was opened by a male staff member, which seems incredibly inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable as I was in a vulnerable state when it happened. Unfortunately I am not someone who can complain to hotel staff at the time but after telling family about it after arriving back home, I feel like this review is necessary as this was very inappropriate behaviour from the staff member to just open our hotel room door without even giving us the time to respond to his knock. Just leaves a sour taste in mine and my partners mouth after the money we spent on the hotel for the weekend.

Myself, My partner and 19 month old child stayed here for 2 nights and can't recommend this hotel enough, We arrived on friday and was easy to get parked and very close to the front door. Was a very easy check in and we were in our rooms very quickly. The hotel has many great facility's for children, One of the 2 used by us was the kids playroom where it play balls, toys and a tv on the wall setup for dvd's which are available from the reception and I'm sure you can bring your own. They other playroom was larger and hard toys for bigger kids but was still suitable for any ages...footballs...connect 4 and board games to name a few. There was another teens room where you can play pool and i never got a chance to play in there but looks very good. We had a look at the pool (never got a chance to use) and it looked great with a kids pool and when we looked it was quite but could get busy over the weekends. The bar food was lovely and drinks where your typical hotel prices...pricey for todays prices but that's what you gotta deal with nowadays. Staff where lovely and the staff all over the hotel are a credit to the place...Everyone one i spoke to and dealt with where lovely. Even the porter at 4/5am who heated a babys milk bottle for me in the microwave. Also the whole hotel was setup Would defiantly attend the hotel again and hopefully get to use the pool in the leisure center next time.

Another super experience . Staff all lovely, a credit to themselves and the hotel. Food was really good, hotel spotless, afternoon tea was really good, great gluten free option too which was brilliant. The spa......Oh Tara, she did it again, what a therapist. She looked after my mam the last time we were there and she looked after me this time. What a lady and wonderful at her job. She is the absolute role model for therapists, every last detail, brilliant. The lady at the spa desk was so lovely, mannerly, pleasant and very gentle. I actually think this is my favorite spa. Some of the jets weren't working in the hydrotherapy but we were assured that they were all being revamped today, there was a few reading lamps not working and when i flagged it to let them know they were aware of it and it was being addressed, cant ask for more than that. Over all another really good experience. i hope management realize what good staff they have, the staff in the bar were super too, lounge staff so polite and bar staff too
