I stayed here recently, intending to stay for 1 night but ultimately staying for four as I came down with an illness. This wasn't by choice -- there were cleanliness issues with the Executive Suite I booked, and it was quite pricey for Bangkok, but I wasn't in good condition to leave the hotel. Despite being a 5 star hotel, the hotel does not allow third party deliveries to the room, so I was forced to eat just room service food for the 4 days I was there. Across nearly a decade of travel, across Asia, North America, and Europe, I've never encountered room service food this awful. Boiled rice soup with uncooked rice. Omelet with the egg not fully cooked -- and bits of shell. Lasagna that was left partially frozen, suggesting it had been microwaved. This wasn't just unbecoming for a 5 star hotel, it was roughly the food quality of the breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express. And it was *expensive* beyond belief -- at nearly $30 USD/meal. To add insult to injury, despite settling the bill before leaving, they have still not released the deposit to my credit card and billed me additional as well -- several hundred dollars of invalid charges I now need to contest with my bank. I will not stay again, and strongly encourage others to stay far clear of this hotel. Bangkok has excellent 5 star hotels for affordable rates. This is not it.
