Location, staff and common areas all good to excellent. Price very competitive for area. Room (1 bed premier suite) was mostly good to excellent and well equipped. Bed very comfortable, but certain parts (notably the bath/shower) clearly hadn't been replaced when rest of room refurbished and, whilst serviceable/clean, were rather battered and had seen better days. Not a problem per se, but it did let the room down a bit. Unfortunately the wifi/internet was a problem, frankly it's abysmal by modern standards. It's OK if you just want to send the odd text, but don't plan on sending any attachments by email, logging onto a zoom call or streaming anything. It didn't even hold a connection long enough for a speed test ! From the number of complaints I heard being made to reception this was evidently a hotel wide issue. I hope they can sort this out, as it's a nice hotel, but I'm not sure I'll be back until they do.
