The room was much smaller than specified when we made our booking. It was clean and nicely furnished, with a good bathroom, but the room itself was too small to be comfortable and bathroom door could not be opened past 25 to 30 degrees because it was obstructed by the bed.

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding being held on the island, Insl. This hotel was chosen by the bride and groom for close family to stay in so it was a very happy few days for us travelling from the UK. The room we had was quite small but very well presented and clean. There wasn’t much in the way of amenities- just hand wash and shower gel, but that was fine. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant soon after our arrival. There were three vegetarian choices and the food was plentiful and of a high quality. The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and very relaxed. The outside terrace overlooking the lake was a prime dining spot. It was incredibly hot for the whole of the stay with temperatures touching 30°. Swimming in the lake was possible directly from the hotel garden and there were pedalos- but we were too busy to take advantage of either. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. We loved our stay - mainly because we were surrounded by our English and German family, there to celebrate a joyous event!

Nice staff, beautiful surroundings - nice for walking and mountain biking, quiet location (April). But the restaurant had overcooked the white asparagus (if I tried the white asparagus for the first time - I would not be eating it again). Clean room but very hard beds, but perhaps the German people like it hard?

Leider trübte der Restaurantbesuch den sonst positiven Einduck des Hotels. Das Essen kommt wohl portionsweise aus der Tüte. Der Zander schien aus der Friteuse zu kommen, die aufgewärmten Rosmatienkartoffeln waren entsprechend schlecht und die Zubereitung hat dann auch keine 5 Minuten gedauerert. Sehr schade für ein Essen für 22,50 EUR.
