Hotels Near Tayrona soccer field in Barranquilla

This hotel is really good, the location is OK, the service is good, the hotel rooms are large and spacious, very clean, and the price is very affordable, it is highly recommended.

I just ended a month’s stay in Barranquilla as a Diamond member of the Hilton Hotel and IHG’s Diamond Elite. I’m utterly in awe of the service I received at Estelar Alto Prado Barranquilla. The attention to detail, and the care given to each guest makes them without a doubt number one in Barranquilla. A first rate service in everything, the administration, reception, the rooms, the pool, and the restaurant and the attention to detail as I Mentioned Before, makes them unique in Barranquilla. I want to offer my warm congratulations to Mr. Jorge Michaels the hotel manager for his excellent job and the reception manager Mr. Yheis for making me feel important and as if I were home.

I have throughly enjoyed my stay at the Bqlla Plaza, to the point that I’ve extended my stay twice. I initially booked for two nights and decided to spend the first half of my vacation here. The staff is friendly, professional, and very attentive, the facility is exceptional for anyone from the tourist to the businessperson. As a veteran special events director I was especially appreciative of the level of quality exhibited on a wedding held on the grounds. Top that off with the ambiance of the pool area and the beautiful, full buffet, including eggs cooked to order, and you’ve got the makings of a memory. Can’t recommend them highly enough- special shout outs to Wilbur in the lounge and Kareme at the front desk!

The hotel is older. The shower room in the picture room is open, and the absence of a door causes too much moisture. The whole room was sprinted with moist odor, which was unpleasant in the long run. Do not really look at the so-called Ctrip, booking star standards. Many of the five-star hotels are pits! !! !! !! The rating is also pit! !! !! When choosing a hotel, you still have to choose a relatively new one, as well as a big brand hotel chain, at least not worse. The hotel barranqilla plaza next door is even worse, not even a few dozen yuan hotel. Booking is actually rated five stars, rated 8.4-9.1! !! !! Super invincible pit! !! Because it is not convenient to travel with products on a business trip, I stayed at the barranqilla plaza for one night and moved to this hotel next door. It is a little better but really not so good! !! Worst experience on a business trip. Please choose a new hotel, new! !!

I would not recommend this place if I was paid to. on arrival check in took 45 minutes. After 40 minutes of silence we asked why it was taken so long ,the reply was their system didn’t connect to *********** so had to manually find it. other customers arrived and were given preferential treatment as we were told “they were already registered” leaving us stood there. The reception team seemed completely lacking in customer service and warmth. We then entered a lovely room however we realised after I had stepped in the shower that we had no towels or none of the coffee and tea was meant to be there. Once again their lukewarm reception team told me the towels were drying and would get us some as quick as they could. All their facilities are currently closed including pool, sauna and rooftop terrace. if you look back at reviews these have all been mentioned lots of time however it is always answered with a stock answer of we will look at into this and improve which they clearly haven’t. Please don’t stay here. Worst place we have stayed in 8 weeks in South America

I cannot say anything nice or anything bad about this place overall. The air-conditioning feels like it is not working well. The desk staff doesn’t appear overly helpful but not necessarily rude. Just mainly indifferent to us. The “revolving” restaurant is only open four hours a day and you must make a reservation, the desk cannot do it. I have stayed practically everywhere in this area when we come to see my in-laws. I was surprised at how mediocre it is. The housekeeping staff is friendly, we always leave a propeno. There was a university having a recruiting event here. I have stayed at better but was always told this hotel was the premier. The location would be its biggest selling point to me, we have family two blocks over. If the service was better and the restaurant was open later I would call it 4 star, it is not five star.

The hotel is located a couple of block from a very nice shopping center with plenty of restaurants and shops. The hotel is very nice as you would expect a HGI to be. I would say it is even nicer than the same hotel brand in the US. The price was very reasonable. The hotel staff was very professional and courteous. The breakfast was very good. You can order eggs any style you like. It offers some items from the typical food from the region although that would be the one aspect I would say the hotel could increase its wow factor. I definitely would recommend this hotel and would return when I travel to Barranquilla.

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Hotel chain states that customer service is the most important thing—it is not. This lack of service was made evident at the start with Sergio at the front desk, who was not only sassy, but absolutely useless from a customer service standpoint. When plans changed and we needed to check out earlier, he proceeded to be unhelpful and tell me he could only honor the reservation for its entire duration. After discussing how often I had stayed at the GHL branded hotels and how modifying the reservation had never been an issue in the past, he went behind a closed door and came back offering a “great” solution: modifying my reservation to cut it from 9 days to 3 days for a higher price (and had modified it already without discussing any pricing with me. I kid you not when I say I spent 1 hour checking in trying to find a solution for both parties. Ultimately, Sergio told me the price wasn’t going to change and I would have to take it or leave it. The bed was incredibly springy and hard. Not comfortable. Room was standard. Not luxurious as website makes it out to be. One day for breakfast, I checked on their app which stated that breakfast ended at 10:30 am, and confirmed with an employee in the hallway at 10:05 am that breakfast went until 10:30 am, and then the lady at the breakfast location gave me a sassy attitude telling me that breakfast was over at 10 am and I could grab from what was left, but for my information it was over at 10 am. I tried to call the front desk using the phone in room to no avail over 5 times. When checking out, I called using the phone to have a bellboy come help with the bags, and no answer. I went to find help from the cleaning staff, who stated they had called down for me. No one came. I ended up going downstairs and asking Rafael at the front desk, who stated he would send someone immediately, but did not. I had to ask again five minutes after talking with him about my issues and he finally sent someone. During check out, I expressed the lack of service and the horrible experience to Rafael, who stated he recognized me from previous stays at the other hotel around the corner, GHL Collection. He stated he would try to help, went behind closed door and “spoke to someone” who told him that since Sergio and I had come to an agreement, there was nothing that could be done. When I asked to speak to the manager, he stated he would call him over and I waited over 15-20 minutes to no avail (when he was around the corner at the other hotel, literally across the street). When I asked for the general manager’s name, Rafael would not give it to me, stating he could not make that information public. As if it wasn’t the general manager’s job to address issues? He would only offer me the reservations manager’s name. I cannot express enough my disgust at the lack of service and care from these team members and their inability to help in any way. Absolutely ridiculous. It appears they may be faki
