Our fifth time at Chewton Glen Hotel and have loved every single stay. The quality of service is exceptional, the level of care and consideration from booking to check out is incredible. The rooms beautiful and were treated to an upgrade when visiting for my 40th birthday…5 years on and we return to a warm welcome. Dining delicious - would highly recommend the tasting menu for special occasions or The Kitchen for more casual, family option. We are lucky enough to have stayed at some other notable hotels including Coworth Park, Cliveden House but this is by far our favourite.

We stayed as a family with a 5 and 3 year old. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between luxury and informality such that standards are high across the board and yet it has a really strong sense of homeliness to it. Service was infallibly excellent and always accommodating - nothing was too much trouble and staff consistently went above and beyond to look after us and our children. Kids club was excellent the girls didn't want to leave, loads of activities to do in and around the hotel even in winter and the nearby beach is great for walks. For a high quality family holiday in the UK I don't think you can do much better.

Booked for Afternoon Tea with my 2 children as a hard earned christmas treat, dreadful experience, had to ask 3 times for Tea (is this not standard with afternoon tea!!!..) sandwiches dry and scones even drier ... not what you expect from a 5 star Hotel ... for the price it was awful and then to charge £30 service charge when the service there was NO service , a total disgrace... I would not have paid this but my children did not want to cause a scene .... don't bother .... also its very much if your face fits... (will say wine waiter was friendly though.. the only good part of the afternoon )

We have been dining at Chewton Glen for many years yet still each time is a gastronomic experience to savour. Everything is meticulously attended to by the highly professional staff. So much like a top drawer restaurant in France where attention to detail is a minimum standard. The presentation of all our courses is mini surprise each time. Excellent wine list and an experienced sommelier Natasha, so very knowledgeable and never fails to proved a wine which compliments our choice of food. All the staff headed by Alex are so friendly as well as professional in their work. Looking forward to our next visit. A sincere thank you to all at Chewton Glen.

Beautifully decorated hotel with log fires. Very festive feeling. We booked dinner for a large group so hired a private room. We arrived an hour before dinner and were allocated an area in a soul less room which was disappointing safe to say we didn’t even want to take our coats off as it was cold but Thomas the manager in charge, soon fixed this. We had a wonderful night. The food was excellent and we were well taken care of by Thomas and his fabulous team. Thank you . 🙏

Wow - what a place! A truly special hotel, with top-end hospitality and service at its heart. The hotel is approached via a sweeping drive through beautiful grounds, and the friendly and knowledgeable porters are on hand at the door to take your bags and park your car while you check in. The public areas are stunning - including gorgeous lounges, all beautifully furnished and opulently decorated, with a couple of log fires to add to the ambience. Our Junior Suite was huge, with a giant king size bed, sitting area, and a very luxurious bathroom. The shower was awesome! We ate dinner at the Kitchen - the less formal dining venue, at the bottom of the drive (the porters will drive you there, if you don’t fancy the short walk). A relaxed menu (from pizzas and gourmet burgers upwards), at fair prices. Breakfast was without doubt the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Wonderful cold buffet selection, including premium fruits and top quality orange juice), with hot breakfast items available to order or from the buffet. Excellent kipper! We spent plenty of time in the spa, with its huge hydrotherapy pool, outdoor hot tub and heated loungers. The staff throughout were excellent - professional, efficient and friendly. A fabulous stay!
