A perfect hotel, owned and operated by the cavendish family. The food is very good, Michelin in 2020, and the ingredients are supplied by their own channels. The breakfast is rich. It is a 30-minute walk to Chatsworth House, if you are not afraid of the wind in this season. There are lawns and 🐑 all the way. If you have seen "Pride and Prejudice", this is a must-visit place.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location - fabulous service from all members of staff especially manager Steve and special mention to Lilia in the restaurant for her friendliness and professionalism. Staying at the Cavendish hotel is a real treat. The hotel itself is beautiful and well located, with a short walk to Chatsworth and lovely surroundings. The staff at the hotel were helpful and attentive, and could not have been more easy to interact with. The room was lovely, with nice touches to make you feel at home.

Such a beautiful hotel with stunning views. The food in the garden room restaurant was delicious when we got it but the service was so poor - slow, spasmodic and took over 30 minutes for someone to take a drinks order and further delays for menus to be given to the table diners. So disappointing and could be so much better.

It should be so much better for the price charged. Very noisy rooms, with poorly laid floors, creaking like an old ship. The people upstairs sounded like they were in the same room. Details are what makes the difference and a restaurant of this standard should know how to make chips and how to remove the digestive track from prawns! On a positive note the staff are really nice and helpful, and the breakfast is lovely

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Cavendish hotel. The food was delicious - sandwiches, scones and shortbread, the dinner tasting menu and breakfast were all equally excellent. The staff at the hotel were also incredible. They accommodated our son to stay with us at very short notice - making him up a bed in our room, sourcing him a last minute ticket for Christmas at Chatsworth House and arranging a children’s menu for him whilst my husband and I enjoyed the tasting menu. The Christmas decor in the hotel was beautiful and the staff gave me a card and chocolate for my birthday. Cannot wait to return again next year! Thank you to all staff for making my birthday break into a great family weekend away!

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel after a day at Chatsworth. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The room was comfortable and quiet. The fresh milk and homemade biscuits were nice touches. Great location and a perfect (but decadent) pre-Christmas treat!
