Hotels near Penang War Museum in Bayan Lepas

I love this hotel bcos of the below picture show. ECO. Nearby alot of food options and restaurant options. The room is clean and water shower is good enough and there is a lot of power point to convenience customer. Worth to stay and I buy their eco ideas. The small room can be improved are 1. Shower head need to repair it into better condition. 2. Some of the power point is not function. Overall it is a good hotel.

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. Location is great: food is available around within walking distance. Easily located by grab drivers, two malls within short distance. Room is spacious, fixtures clean n new Gym is well equipped; will return again

The hotel was beautiful and the decor was modern and stylish. The service staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. They made my stay so enjoyable and comfortable The rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained, the beds were very clean comfortable and the amenities were great. The location was perfect - close to the city centre and attractions. The hotel had great facilities and was very convenient. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive I do had a great stay and would definitely stay here again

This was our 1st time at Amari Spice but from the on set was a bad experience. Driving into the hotel I could not drive to the lobby entrance to drop my family & luggage as it was blocked for some reason best known to Amari. Security at the entrance was of no help & I ended up blocking the way of a car at the back. What was supposed to be destress trip, started off on bad note. Anyway cursing Amari Spice for being worst than a 1 star hotel, I reversed back into the lobby entrance. Told this bad experience while checking in to the front office staff but they were not bothered  Going to the room found the mattress to be too soft sinking when you lay down & the air cond temp tops up at 26.5 degress, not everyone likes the room super cold. These 2 shortcomings are something that you wld not find in a 4 or 5 star hotels but looks like Amari is still figuring out where they stand. Even many 3 star hotels are better. Moving to the shower both rain & hand shower water flow was dispointing at best with temperature regulation being a challenge. Since my home is at Bukit Jambu & the main reason of chosing Amari was to destress, which was not possible with the said room conditions, I had to leave my family both nights to head home to rest. The matteress, shower & air cond at home the best. Wondering how Amari claims to be home away from home. On a good note the staff were courteous & friendly. Inclosing would I stay at Amari Spice again. NO.

Services, location and amenities are good. However, cleanliness is not really good. My level has a bad smell and there was dead cockroach in my room. I also ordered room service during my stay. Staff in charge is polite. That was good. But, the food taste not really good. I like the coffee.

nice hotel with a strategic place. good to stay for rest after exploring Georgetown. a lot of restaurants and its all walking distance. this place is very good also because they provide a hotel car park (its RM6 per day) which is still affordable. but it will be more good if can improve the cleanliness of the rooms. my room is ok but got a stain like blood at the blanket and also few hair at the floor . btw its still a good place to stay.

+ Great efficient service by the bell boy once we arrived at the hotel, keep that up! + Easy check in. Guests need to pay RM50 as deposit. + Self-service laundry and restaurant are next to the hotel. + Prangin Mall, Dark Museum are meters away from the hotel. + It provides towels, toiletries, tissues, kettle, drink making necessities, mini refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and its board, extra pillow, bedroom slippers and safety box in the room. + Water filter can be found outside rooms. - Dust can be seen on the room furniture. Dusty floor, we had to clean it up with our own wet tissues. - Bathroom can't be locked from inside. - Limited parking. - Not 24 hours standby receptionist. - Only 1 card key is given, it is troublesome for 2 guests that stay in the same room to move alone.

Considering there’s more and more institutions, industries and factories here in Batu Kawan, The Upper House served as the only hotel currently at this area, so definitely suitable to those might coming here for business/work trip. Or even for people who just want to get a rest place and explore the mainland of Penang like me. They have room catered for solo traveller and it is very spacious for one person like me. Big and comfortable bed with smart TV in the front. There’s work desk beside as well. Lots of plugs and USB chargers in the room, with amenities like safe, small fridge, dryer and water basin. There’s also space to keep your big luggage under the bed. The toilet and bathroom are combined together, so it is total spacious inside. The heater however can reach warm only at the maximum for my room. Unlike most hotel with carpet flooring which is soft when your foot step on it, here like stepping on concrete and unpleasant for me. I would recommend you to prepare additional sock to wear. The air conditioning in the room is not quiet enough for me when sleeping, as it will produce sound even I have set it lower. But the cold temperature is good for me. Although the location is located conveniently in this new township, there’s not a lot of eating places around here, unless you go to Design Village or IKEA. Also it is very hard to walk around here. The commercial area in front of the hotel was a consider a ghost town, but hopefully it will get better in future; since this is a very new area. If you are staying here, do remember to check out their swimming pool at the rooftop as well.

Just nice . Clean room but to small its okey for 2 person . The toilet very small space but clean . Everything good . Aircond good .
