Beaune is always a good stop being the half way point to the South of France. I have stayed at Hotel de La Paix a number of times because of its central location to the restaurants, secure car park, consistent quality of service. The breakfast is also very good and well priced. Well done!

Not good. The room was pleasant enough but hauling luggage up two flights of stairs (no elevator) is sub-optimal for a 75 year old. Then there's no shower...just a hand-held in the bath. Then breakfast ran out of things...croissants for example. And then our room didn't get serviced one day...and the staff were non-communicative to the point of being comatose. Would I stay there again? No.

The Pros: Spacious room for a family of 5. Aircon worked. Clean bed sheets. Tiled bathroom and toilet with ample white towels. Reasonable price for 1 night. The Negatives: Room outdated Brown carpet, stained and looked dirty. Room could have been cleaner. Breakfast disappointing. Fruit bruised and looked sad. Not much variety, which is fine, but please get the basics right, e.g dont serve oily croissants.

Very poorly maintained and the whole service experience is quite clueless. Close to city center but please spend your money elsewhere. No internet, loud and choppy ac, staff not very friendly, couldn’t pay by card so had to walk to town to get cash from an atm. Best part was that we were refused a front door key to the booked ‘apartments’. Give it a miss.. loved Beaune but not this place.

Great little hotel. Great location and easy walk into the center of town. The staff were always wonderfully kind and helpful. I had a problem with the first room I was given (loud mechanical noise) but when I talked to them, they immediately found me another room. I was there with a group for a week (taking a class) and the hotel staff was so gracious and helpful, even when our group took over the courtyard for our picnic lunches. :-)

Sadly our least favourite hotel of the holiday. It didnt start great as we pulled into the carpark and a very friendly rat was sat waiting to great us. We pulled in to a space and walked into the hotel. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and helpful as much as he could be. On receiving keys i asked about the bar as it had been a long drive. Sadly this was closed (and did not open). The restaurant also did not open. We walked to our room via two flights of stairs with some difficulty due to lack of a lift but the gentleman on duty did assist and was again very helpful. The room was spacious, plush and modern. Sadly though the toilet which was located between rooms had a door that did not lock and would not close, as soon as you took your hand off it it slid entirely open. In addition to the toilet issue there was no kettle and breakfast opened later than we needed to leave at 7:30am. I asked for a kettle which they found but sadly had no coffee or milk. The room was listed with minibar but it did not have one of those either. The strength of this review is mainly based on value for money, yes the room was spacious and well decorated but for the money (€200) everything else just lacked, especially when we had spent €175 elsewhere a previous night and enjoyed the same size room with full facilities.

One day we only received one new towel after the room was serviced. We reported this to the front desk, but the on duty manager would not give us a second towel until he came up and searched our room. Obviously did not believe us.

Please read the review from Michelle (August 2021) titled "Pretty average". Guess what? The wi-fi still doesn't work in those rooms!! (In the adjacent building Cour de la Paix) The phone in our room (#7) wasn't even connected to reach the reception. All hotels have problems, but we didn't even feel like the staff was making a real effort to fix the wi-fi or sympathized with our inconvenience. Their "solutions" amounted to: "Have you tried this? Have you tried that?" or "You can use the wi-fi in the lobby instead". No offer to give us a discount either: I had to fight to get a few euros taken off the bill on check-out after a two-day stay without working wi-fi. And now, after having read the review from LAST AUGUST, I realize they've had that problem all along! So I can only conclude they have a recurrent problem that they don't know how to fix or they don't care enough to do so... Either way, I would not recommend this hotel if you need wi-fi in your room, or like being treated like a valued guest.

Found this hotel online as we needed to stay one night on route back to London by car and wanted to avoid the chains like Ibis. What a mistake. This hotel markets itself as a boutique hotel but it does not deserve a 3 star status. The entrance is dark and dingy and the carpet may once have been beige but was so dirty it was dark brown! Banisters had never been dusted and we had to walk through an apartment with a single bed in to get to the smallest attic room ever. Room 14 is in the eaves and the unlucky person sleeping on the left hand side cannot sit up without bumping their head. The lamp shades were frayed and room was grubby. We swerved breakfast as it was simply charcuterie and cheese and no other options. Hotels lost money we know in the pandemic but this hotel should have taken that time to clean the place!

Great central location and parking. Room really clean and very well appointed with good linen and quality of towels. Staff speak great English and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent quality. The trouble was our room 7 was over the bar with a party that went on until 02.30.

Perfect service - good location ! we come back !we enjoyed the stay. Especially an excellent breakfast with selected dishes. We will gladly consider this hotel again for our next trip. We can highly recommend it.

I had requested parking for 2 'uits, I was told it was ok. 1st evening, difficult to park because of a poorly parked car: I was told that there was a problem with the available spaces. 2nd evening, no place available for me: so it was not a hiccup but rather one on Booking. Very annoying. Otherwise, the fridge outside the room had a Tupperware container that must have been there for a very, very long time, with moldy bread in it. I forget, the 2nd morning of breakfast where customers had to kindly anticipate their departure so that we could sit down. The hotel management seems to be very distant and priority on profitability, not the customer.
