Beijing Fangshan District 5-star Hotels

The hotel environment is very good, much better than expected. It is about 15 minutes drive from Longhu Tianjie, and parking downstairs is free. I just want to eat in the hotel, but when the restaurant needs tableware and ice buckets, the ice buckets only have buckets, and there is no ice. It is said that the kitchen is off work, and a deposit is required for the plates and ice buckets. It is acceptable, but there is no ice. It's incomprehensible, and there is a gap between the five-star standard, maybe because the restaurant is not a hotel? Also, the hot water suddenly disappeared before checking out, the bath water was only warm and could not be washed. The front desk sent someone to see it and it was delayed for a long time. Others were good and the service was good.

There are 2 exits in front of the hotel. And just 6 to 9 minutes to the next street are a few shopping malls. The malls offer a range of clothing and food outlets. The hotel toiletries are replenished daily, and the cleaning staff are polite and go out of their way to help. Overall, it is a good hotel to stay in when in Beijing.

Stay away! The saving grace came from Trip.com which enabled me to terminate our booking without penalty. Awful garbage smell in the room. We checked in at 1am due to late flight arrival. Upon entering the room we we’re concerned about a strange smell in the room. We thought it would go away so we just opened the window. It was late we decided we would ignore the smell but by 6.30 am we couldn’t ignore the foul smell anymore. So we wrote to trip.com to terminate our booking. By 9am we’re ready to check out. At the checkout counter the staff was gracious and friendly and she said our booking was terminated at our request. Just too many faults with this hotel room. Chair needs to be replaced. It easily toppled backwards. Toilet door can’t completely closed. Not sufficient electrical outlets to plug your devices. Curtains are dirty. No hooks in toilet. Only positive staff was friendly.

The location is super, in front of subway and just right the Conner with Wangfujing street, about 10 minutes walking to the Forbidden city. Room is small but clean and good sound proofing. Breakfast is tasty and offer a good variety of foods. They support us with free late checkout. Staffs don’t speak English but it’s not a problem because they use translator apps

The room layout can be funny but toilet is huge and room is huge. Location is good with many food opposite the hotel and malls connected to the hotel. Will stay here again!

The hotel's only good trait is that it's close to the forbidden city and Wangfuijing shopping district. We were checked into a totally different room than we booked. It was like getting cat fished by a hotel. The hotel is quite stingy with its amenities. Asked for bottled water at the reception, they said they're only selling. I asked them if I could get some free bottled water, but was told they'll send it to my room. I wasn't going back to my room for the bottled water to come as I was leaving. My friend asked for water from her room, they didn't agree to send some right away, but instead continued to ask if there wasn't any in her room. We were mostly unsatisfied with our stay as the room did not match at all with the pictures on the Trip app. The breakfast buffet wasn't that good, it didn't live up to its expensive cost. And the concierge basically scammed us of RMB 183 for a taxi ride to the airport from the hotel, we could see that it only amounted to RMB 65-70 to the airport from the cab's meter. It was also my friend's birthday, so I asked if the hotel offers any complimentary cakes and asked them to bring it at 6pm. They said okay, but nothing arrived at 6pm. So I called them again and they transferred me to 4 different people until someone finally understood basic English and told me that I should've asked for the cake earlier, which I did right after we checked in. The hotel's staff does not do well with communicating internally. Somehow I expected good service as it was a Novotel hotel, but was left highly disappointed.

I can’t say enough how cute and chic this hotel is and it’s right in the middle of everything. Located in the heart on Dongcheng District. Just a 100 meters or so from Wangfujing street . There is a lot of colorful action there as this section of Wangfujing is basically is walkable mall so there are thousands of people out having fun getting ice cream and shopping . Very lively area. Located on Dong A Men Street The hotel is just a 12 minute walk from Subway line 1, especially great if you take the inexpensive train and subway connection from Daxing airport or Beijing International . No need to deal with taxis if you don’t want to.. There are great places to eat to the right or left of the hotel . Whether Peking duck or noodles. Whatever your heart desires, you won’t go hungry . There are also little shops for sweets, gifts, pastries or water. .Also not far from Tiananmen Square. Or the Forbidden city , about a 20-25 min walk. For the price the hotel is absolutely worth it and have seen a lot less comfort and dullness for a lot more . The place is updated and modern and the rooms look just like in the pictures on google or what have you. No disappoin**ent, No surprises, no filthiness, mold or peeling paint. We got the Superior Smart Room with window. There are so many nice things in the room like heated toilet seat, great high pressure shower , with head from high above , a fridge, white glass ,blue and gold tones throughout , power curtains( just yank a little on them and they open or close the rest of the way, nice! ) , nice cluster of buttons by the side of the bed with USB or to activate different light or things and just cool modern decor We decided to book breakfast with our stay which is an additional charge of $9, Sure you can eat cheaper outside if you just want a bowl of noodle but you will not be disappointed eating hear either, located on the 5th floor roof top This not a tea and biscuit or waffle and dried egg buffet. This is a full on staffed event with a cook working in the back . The choices of eastern and western food is endless. It’s very large .you will be satisfied . The 5th floor is the outdoor roof where u can sit and enjoy some fresh air and it also has an indoor lounge . The inside lounge has a microwave, a small couch, washing machines(1 or 2, don’t remember ) , two stationary bikes . A couch etc… a place to chill if you want . They have WiFi, though the staff helped me connect I couldn’t really get mine to work. Maybe you will have better luck . The staff is helpful and friendly though English is at a very very minimum. But that’s ok , hell we are in their country right? Just get out your google translate and they will translate back. I found this to be the best method of communicating. In the end , with all the benefits of proximity to food, attractions , subway we would not hesitate to stay here again. Really nice small hotel

The location of Park Plaza is excellent, just one minute walk to the nearest subway station (Dengshikou station Exit C). Walking to different attractions such as Forbidden City and Wangfujing shopping areas is also easy. The room is spacious and comfortable. The hotel service is good and the breakfast buffet has sufficient variety with both western and Asian cuisines. Something to note is that we found the room to be rather warm on return from a day out. The air-con was set at 27 degC couldn’t be varied. The outside temperature during our stay was between 5 degC at night and 20 degC in daytime. The hotel management informed us that it was government regulation to save energy. To assist, the management provided us a large room fan. That and opening the side windows helped tremendously to lower the temperature. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel and highly recommend it.

Fantastic service! Hotel staff spoke English and were very accomodating to our needs. On the first night we decided the room wasn’t suitable to us and they immediately arranged for us to change rooms the following night. They were responsive and even provided service outside of their usual hours. The gym was amazing! Very well equipped and the staff were so nice. The location is perfect with lots of small eats nearby. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Bathroom/shower stalls need to be cleaned THOROUGHLY of grim/stains and MOULDS! Which are not only unsightly but pose a danger to health! This is for ALL rooms! Water from shower stalls do not drain well due to poor construction gradient of shower floor. Check in smooth and although booked a room on 2/3rd floors, was given one on 4th floor accessible through an external door on 3rd fl through 2 flights of stairs and to the outside, certainly unsuitable for any older persons! Was subsequently given one on 3rd for subsequent nights. Poor room layouts, no storage space/hooks for clothes, no fridge and dismal lighting. Architect/designer has much to learn about room layouts etc before embarking on further hotel designs! Breakfast was ample/adequate but could have some different varieties each day for those who stay longer. This could have been an innovative arty hotel which the Owner has in mind but for the above. Saving grace was the front desk staff who were most helpful and special mention should be made of Helen, Owen, Jake and Vivian.
