Dongsi Hotel is located in what is known as Da Duo Fu lane within a hutong. It is within two train stations (DongSi & Zhongguo Meishuguan). It is also surrounded on 4 sides (5 mins walk), by streets filled with small food outlets, cafes and bakeries. There is also a supermarket near by for drinks & snacks. Those who need pre-paid card there is a China Mobile outlet nearby. The rooms are clean. Towel, shower gel & shampoo are provided. NOT provided are disposal like toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver & shower cap. The toilet bowl is the seating type. The receptionists (Gu & Huang) were helpful. Huang even taught us to book DiDi without local HP via WeChat. Do have Google translate in standby, as they can understand & explain only in Chinese. There are two zones on ground floor, so take note of zone (A or B) & room no to get into your correct room. Else room card will fail. Order Taobao if you stayed at least 4 days, as it takes at most 4 days to delivered to hotel. All Taobao orders go into a white cupboard at entrance.

The location of the hotel it’s good because you have the metro nearby. The hotel it’s just disgusting, the room it’s full of mosquitos and because of the humidity you will find hundred of mosquito humidity… the bathroom smells like a public toilet… if you have a small budget then this hotel it’s for you but for a few more € I were you I will choose another one. I choose the hotel because of the recommendations but they are far away from the truth. The girl from the reception Xion was ver nice and helpful.

Location of the hotel was good and close to all key sites of beijing. Thankfully I am a chinese speaking foreigner so encountered little problems when speaking to hotel staff who couldn't speak english. The room has no service and no wifi. The room was not cleaned (nor came cleaned) during our 2 night stay. However these are expected in a budget hotel. 3 things I did not expect however in a budget hotel were: Black pillowing smoke out of the clearly broken (for a long time) hairdryer. Gaps in the door which meant the room stayed light and we could hear other guests during the day and night when we were in the room. A notice placed on our bathroom after our first night directing us to take showers at intervals of 30 mins because of the hot water capacity of the hotel. And worst of all... to have my phone grabbed out of my hand as I was checking out and have the reception staff attempt to complete a faultless 5 star review.

Wifi provided cannot be used. There is no signal in room you cannot even use your own mobile data inside the room. Plus there is a lot of mosquito inside the room. The receptionists were not polite and friendly, you can always see a lot of complaints and booking check-in problem at the front desk haha, don’t know why this hotel is still fully booked everyday. The toilet is in bad condition and out of repair. But anyway the good thing about this hotel is the mrt station is few minutes walk away and there is a mall to buy necessities. A few minutes walk you can also reach a free flow breakfast porridge store for only 3 Rmb.

The location wise is very near to subway Dongsi line chocolate, only 5-10minutes of walking, receptionist unable to speak english but be prepare with google translate, hotel no elavator and only STAIRS! My room is at level 3. Tiring with luggage. No breakfast provided. Wifi very very slow connection and cannot access some app like wassap, twitter or tiktok. Bed was really hard!! I had my back ache. However, if you are muslim traveller, the location is quiet near to Dongsi Mosque for prayer. Overall 3/5

The room is excellent - it's clean and comfortable. Li Yiran at the front desk was particularly polite and very helpful! Thank you. The other two guy staff members who assisted us on the first day were also good. While the hotel does not have an elevator, they were considerate enough to assign us a room on a lower floor to accommodate our family. One suggestion for improvement in general would be to enhance English language skills among the staff to facilitate better communication for foreign guests. Overall, it was great value for money. DONT BOOK HERE!! The worst hotel in my hole traveling life ever! All is old and dirty, WiFi was unavailable my hole stay, they wanted to double charge me the deposit, also my payment was for 1067 cny and they wanted to charge me 1100, they payment is not online so I had to waste all my money in cash here bc they also do not accept visa or Mastercard, the key wasnt working many times to open doors/turn on electrity, nobody speaks English, location in a hide street with nothing around to eat, atm etc. All hotels and hostels in China offer sandals/toothbrush, toothpaste, but not this one, shampoo/soap are 15ml only per day for 2 person (add pic) when I claimed the wifi they told me to upgrade to get wifi signal in another room, of course paying while in the app says they do offer it. 5 days and never had a change blanket and cleaning room. There is no elevator, also while checking out they knocked the door before 12 asking us to leave or extend, ***!!! Is not asking also for the facilities, is a service that you are hiring and his responsibility give it to you without asking form more shampoo or so... this place just needs to not exist!!!

If you can't find them, you can ask the hotel front desk. 6. The check-out time of the hotel is before 12:00 noon. We waited until 11:50 before knocking on your room to ask whether you want to stay or check out.

I really like the service of this hotel both customer service and other staff are very polite and helpful. Even though my Chinese is not fluent, they are still patient in translating through mobile phones. There is only one thing that needs to be improved, one of which is the condition of the room because mosquitoes are so many and very disturbing.

Close to Dongsi subway station. Very nice and friendly personnel. That’s it for the advantages. 😅 Spent one night there. Dreadful place which desperately needs renovation. Dirty, smelly, shabby, moldy. Small humidity born insects fly around. Ugh. In case all you seek is hot water shower, toilet and a bed with clean sheets to sleep over, you’ll be fine.

It is a run down hotel, on our floor the carpet was ripped up. The room, was big with a window. Air con didn't work well. Toilet door didn't shut. The room walls were dirty..it was okay for us, as we were busy all day and the bed was quite comfortable. The staff were ok, but when I returned the key, and asked for my deposit, the staff was rude to me. He used a translation app, and I was told to go and get the list in my room. I didn't realize that the list, was the receipt. When I told him it was in the room, the staff made me go and get iit There was no elevator and ai had to climb up three floors of stairs and we had a plane to catch We are now staying in a hotel in Shanghai, it is clean, well maintained and cheaper. So, not sure what really is going on with this hotel.
