This hotel is marked as five or four star, but I really less than one star. 1. Room is so packed and bathroom so smelly and dirty 2. Internet speed is approximately 0kb 3. My family and I have visited Beijing 5 times since 2011, and every time we've stayed at the Tangla. It has definitely lost some of its initial grandeur through the years, but is still a good value. The rooms are clean and a little more spacious than a typical hotel room, with a desk area and a bathroom that includes a separate tub and shower. The hotel has 22 floors with 4 elevators that work very efficiently. It was rare when we needed to wait longer than a minute for the elevator to arrive. The location is pretty good. Right across the street is a shopping mall with a supermarket, numerous restaurants on the 4th and 5th floors and some fast food on the first floors. On another side of the street is the Capital Museum, which is worth checking out for an afternoon if you have the time. A subway stop is a half-kilometer walk away, and that subway line runs directly to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing, and numerous other attractions. However, traffic at this intersection has made this location less desirable over time. The main intersection doesn't allow left turns, and street lights don't change for 2 or more minutes at a time during most of the day. As a result, when taking a taxi, your taxi might be mere blocks away but nevertheless 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The traffic can also make taking a taxi down Chang'an street very, very slow. The 6km taxi ride to the Forbidden City can easily take 30 or more minutes just between waiting for your car to arrive and the roundabout way he has to take to get there. The hotel has a gym and pool. The pool is really nice and my son says the gym is too. There's a salon/massage place that we haven't used. It used to have three restaurants but one of them has since closed. We did not use either of the existing restaurants due to the abundance of good restaurants across the street. There is a tea room that we would have taken advantage of during this last trip but it has been closed indefinitely as well. The hotel features 5-star award plaques from previous years but the most recent year with a plaque is from 2018. Support from the front desk in English is minimal. They had one staff member with a limited knowledge of English but that's the extent of it. My wife speaks Chinese so this didn't present a burden for me, but it might for some other English speaking guests. Overall, it's still a good hotel with a good location, and prices are very good. I can't say when I'll be back in Beijing again, but when I am chances are good I'll be back at the Tangla.

The hotel offers a five-star experience with its convenient location along Chang'an Street. The lobby provides complimentary drinks, and the front desk staff are exceptionally friendly, accommodating my room extension seamlessly. The cleaning staff is also very welcoming, greeting guests warmly in the hallways and generously offering additional bottled water, which is a thoughtful touch, especially during hot summer weather. The room itself boasts a great view, completing a wonderful stay.

Great hotel stay except breakfast is limited choice and not to international standards

This hotel provides very good service, especially a woman at front desk, her last name is Fan. She's very helpful if you have any issue need their help.

The location is quite good, opposite the Capital Museum. Close to the subway station, the room facilities are a bit old, but the guest supplies are fully equipped. Overall it's OK

Tangla Hotel has a great location and good service. Since we arrived at the hotel at 11pm, we were given a free room upgrade. The room was spacious, with plenty of hot water and high cost performance.

The rooms are clean, the service is thoughtful, the environment is elegant, and the guests are very relaxed. This hotel is really great, every detail makes people feel warm and comfortable. Simple but stylish, the hotel's details show quality, very satisfied

How can I put it? It's hard to describe in one sentence. 1. When I checked in, I didn't tell them that the rooms facing Chang'an Avenue on the south side would be very hot. The temperature inside the room was 27 degrees +, and there was no cold wind. The windows in the room were not allowed to be opened because they were on the upper floors, so there was no ventilation at all. I could only open the door and face the corridor for ventilation. When I checked out, I heard the front desk explaining the same problem to other guests @#%&$￥% 2. The furnishings of the house should be in disrepair. There was no electricity in the sockets in the house. The blinds in the bathroom were uneven and about to fall off. The towels were black. The photos were not very clear due to the quality of the pictures. I actually used their white toothbrush box for comparison. 3. The magical shampoo, not to mention that it didn't foam, was the kind that was similar to gel. To put it bluntly, it was like snot. It was not the oil-filled liquid that flowed out smoothly like regular shampoo. I recorded a video and found that I couldn't post it. 4. You need to swipe your room card to go upstairs. This is understandable and necessary to ensure the safety of the guests. However, when you have just checked in and you keep inserting the room card in the elevator and there is no response, you are extremely upset. The answer you get is that it is demagnetized... in less than a day... demagnetized... I have to say that I bothered the waiter several times because I needed shampoo and slippers, and I was very sorry, but I could really feel the other party's impatience afterwards, and the service was only average. If there are multiple service requests like this, the hotel manager should intervene to understand the reason so that the guests can have a better experience, but unfortunately he did not. Hotel management can only be said to be basic management, which is quite far from luxury hotels.

This time I took my children to Beijing and stayed in this hotel. The location is excellent, the transportation is convenient, the service is thoughtful, and the Beijing Museum is opposite the hotel. I will continue to patronize it in the future

The hotel is in a very good location, on Chang'an Avenue, with convenient transportation, complete facilities, clean and hygienic. Manager Guo Changkun is very warm and thoughtful. I will choose this hotel next time I come to Beijing.

Old-fashioned high-end business hotel. They helped me upgrade to a suite. It has complete facilities for swimming and fitness. The downside is that the windows in the room cannot be opened (for safety reasons), which results in the air in the room not being very fresh. My sensitive nose has come back.

The hotel is located on the west extension of Chang'an Street, and is conveniently surrounded by museums, theaters and shopping malls. The hotel has complete facilities, is clean and hygienic, especially the service is first-class, I must give it a thumbs up 👍!
