What a fabulous property set in extensive grounds and bordered by the backwaters and Kappil beach. We had lovely, spacious accommodation with an outside sitting space that looked across to the backwaters. It was peaceful, quiet and a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle that is India! The food was wonderful with many Keralan delights and for Diwali a sumptuous Sadyha meal was prepared. This consisted of 19 different vegetarian items served on a plantain leaf. Similar to a thali but on a larger scale. The staff were all welcoming, extremely helpful and we were looked after very well. We would definitely return.

The grounds were impeccable; the hospitality, unmatched. We were a family of 11 and booked individual villas but when we checked into the hotel, the management team surprised us with a 4 bedroom presidential palace, complete with its own private pool. The food was amazing! Thank you Taj Bekel Resort for helping our family build some beautiful memories! Your team was very gracious and worked hard to exceed our expectations!

Although our stay was brief, we were utterly captivated by the Taj Bekal Resort. Nestled amid lush greenery, the resort offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea and serene backwaters that leave an indelible mark on the soul. The magnificent cottages, crafted in the traditional "Kettuvallam" architectural style, exude an authentic charm that is both timeless and enchanting. The atmosphere is a haven of tranquility and peace. The staff and management deserve special mention for their unwavering courtesy and prompt service, making us feel genuinely pampered. The culinary delights at the large restaurant are nothing short of exquisite, with a tantalizing spread of multiple cuisines that cater to every palate. Our experience, though short-lived, was intensely memorable, leaving us longing for a return visit.

We had a pleasant stay at this beautiful resort, spread over a wide, landscaped area with a private beach on one side and backwaters on the other. The property is large, spacious, and well-equipped with excellent amenities, making it definitely worth a visit. My room was upgraded to a plunge pool, which was a wonderful touch. The in-house activities were enjoyable, and I would like to thank Executive Chef Anabalagan, Chef Majid, Chef Vijay, and Shibani for their outstanding service and attention to our needs. A special mention to Mr. Attivaram, Jason, Devika, and Jyoti for promptly addressing our concerns. Areas for improvement include offering more variety in non-veg local cuisine in the buffet and enhancing the Ayurvedic spa experience. Housekeeping should also address the frog issue in the plunge pool, improve water pressure, and manage rodents in the garden area. Additionally, customer service could be improved, as the staff seemed overworked, with few smiles or greetings, though the managers were very attentive.

Been to the famous resort and loved every bit of it. From luxurious and well maintained room, warm hospitality, perfectly curated menus to activity options; everything stands out here. Special shoutout to Ankit who served us dinner at Backwater Cafe. Would recommend anyone looking for a relaxed stay, every penny is worth spent at the property.

Everything was really amazing, right from rooms, to food to spa. SPA was really good and relaxing and quite different from what is available at other properties. One small suggestion would be add more items to the menu at the restaurant as well as add a few more baby chairs.

The Front Office staff has very poor knowledge of invoicing, Tata Neu membership and inspite of writing emails they dont respond. Inspite of requesting for early packed breakfast they did not provide it. While property is good the services are extremely poor that too when you have paid a bomb.

It’s a wonderful property with aesthetic interiors n picturesque exteriors.. kids play area is gud too.. wish tey had more cycles for us to cycle around.. restaurants were gud.. staff were welcoming bt v felt tey wernt tat cordial.. overall its a must visit place
