We had a nice and peaceful stay here. It’s like staying in someone’s home so you can’t make any noise and just relax. Please note that it’s not THAT close to airport and it’s a $20 dollar fee. Most hotels in the area provide free shuttles. Other than that, the staff was great and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic.

We highly recommend Luna Inn B&B. It is reasonably priced, comfortable and clean in a lovely property, close to the airport (rate included pick up and drop off), with a lovely breakfast included, and provided a low cost and convenient rental car for our journey around Costa Rica. There are nice places to eat nearby. Esteban, Ariana & Ariana’s mum looked after us like family, nothing was any trouble and Esteban was helpful on everything from advice on what to see and getting around. Luna Inn was our home base while we tripped around Costa Rica, so we came and went a few times and couldn’t have been happier with our choice :-)

We loved staying at the Luna Inn B&B twice on our way passing through San Jose to the Osa Peninsula. It is so convenient to the airports but in a nice neighborhood. The taxi will cost you about $15. Adriana was very accommodating and Esteban so friendly and full of information. Esteban was able to meet us, as we arrived from the US, which was so helpful . There is a Wonderful nature event at the far end of the garden, where the leaf cutter ants are busy bringing leaves to their nest. Just a 10 to 15 minute walk away is a delicious Indian restaurant called Taj Mahal. Walk up to the main street and go right two or three blocks to a mini mall with restaurants and delicious bakery for dessert. Two of the rooms have a view to the mountain. All around a great place to stay, avoiding San Jose traffic.

I had a wonderful stay at Luna Inn. Esteban and the rest of the staff made me feel at home and were always available to answer questions and talk about their lives as Costa Ricans. Be sure to ask Esteban about the leaf cutter ants in the garden. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I was in San José for a conference and when I told fellow conference attendees about Luna Inn, many said they had wished they had booked there instead of the nearby hotels. I also rented a car from Luna Inn and it was easy and convenient.

Luna Inn is in a quiet, safe, and walkable area. It is just 15 minutes from the International Airport, 10 minutes from downtown at Heredia and Alajuela, 15 minutes from downtown San Jose, and they are only 5 minutes from the Costa Rica Convention Center, which was holding an anime event while we were therel. Access to the beach is just down route 27. It's a short walk to a cluster of restaurants - Mexican, Indian, Argentinian, and the MOOSE Restaurant, where we ate every evening. Great food and excellent service. The host, Èsteban, speaks excellent English and will help with all your needs. Good breakfast. Large backyard to relax in and listen to the e birds. They also rent vehicles with discounts for their clients.

Clean, reasonably priced, secure area and close to the airport but not noisy at all. You can walk to a shopping center with a large variety of restaurants. We've used this B&B twice now for stop overs between flights. The night view out our bedroom window with the city lights and cool breeze is memorable. Estevan, also a wood artisan, is fun to talk to.

We’ve stayed here twice this month and both were wonderful experiences. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, and made us feel like friends not guests. The accommodations are immaculate, comfortable and quiet. In a busy, noisy city, Luna Inn is a sanctuary of calm. We highly recommend staying here.

Great location- right off Rt 1 and close enough to the airport and rental car return. (5 mins away). Quiet, peaceful, comfortable place. Host Esteban speaks English very well and the breakfast was VG. In a neighborhood where we walked to dinner.

Luna Inn B&B is a great place to stay for many reasons. It is a great location, close to the airport and also a nice neighborhood with beautiful mountain views. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe staying there and walking to the nearby restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast each morning was delicious! And a huge bonus is they can help you coordinate a rental car prior to your arrival. I would definitely recommend Luna Inn B&B and will stay here again!
