Was at the Lansdowne for Xmas work do. Food was fantastic and entertainment was superb. John on the bar provided us with outstanding service and was an absolute gentleman! He was so speedy and efficient, this man deserves a promotion! We decided to stay the night. Room was comfortable with all amenities provided and breakfast the next morning was delicious with a wide variety to choose from.

One of the bouncers grabbed my partner and pulled him outside because “he looked at him in a strange way”, which I don’t think is fair. Staff laughed in his face when he tried to explain. Extremely Poor customer service would not recommend, rudest staff I have ever encountered.

Went in on spec with a friend to see if we could get a quick meal. We were told off by unpleasant restaurant receptionist for turning up without booking. Fine, we weren't that bothered. Just try saying , "oh I'm really sorry but we're booked out...we could do a table for later possibly if that's any good...". Fairly standard stuff for anyone working in "hospitality". So management, try training your staff in the basics of hospitality. And don't worry, we'll not bother calling again. You do have competitors.

We were a party of 24 for Xmas party and the staff could not have been more welcoming, food was lovely no complaints but the staff made the experience. Janette looked after us all night, she went over and above, she is an absolute credit to the hotel. Thank you

Went for lunch with my friend. I had the Haddock and my friend had the pepper chicken. The food was absolutely delicious and good sized servings. Lovely atmosphere. Great Guinness and really friendly staff, everyone of them served us with a smile and a bit of chat, just how a Belfast restaurant should be. I will definitely be back when I'm next in Belfast

We booked a table for a relaxed family Sunday lunch at 2pm. Upon arrival my 23 year old son and I asked to be seated while we waited on the rest of our family arriving only to be told that we couldn't eat there as my son was wearing track bottoms and that breached their dress policy. This happened as men walked past us wearing shorts and trainers - in November. When I complained to reception staff, I was rudely and abruptly told that my family wasn't being refused, just my son, 'who's welcome to go home, change and come back '. I appreciate that some establishments have dress policies and that's well within their right. However, let common sense prevail at times. The hotel is making a judgement on people by what trousers they choose to wear instead of how they conduct themselves. Also, this should have been made clear when I made my phone booking the previous day . The incident was embarrassing for my family, especially in a casual dining bar and restaurant setting that promotes itself as 'lunches, munches, boozy brunches. Needkess to say my whole family left and our celebration cancelled. We will never be back.

WOW! 🤩 W he at a transformation since the last time I stayed there, approximately 7 years ago! On entering the hotel we were greeted with a big smile from a very nice young lady, Rebeca, who was brilliant 🤩 in explaining everything from the hassle free check-in procedure, the location of our room the general layout of the hotel. After leaving off our bags, in what was a good sized, well equipped bathroom and bedroom (220) we made our way downstairs and into the bar area, where we were, once again greeted with a big smile and a cheery hello from Danielle, who enquired if we were going to have something to eat and she very kindly offered us a couple of menus for our perusal. On being seated in a quiet area, towards the back of the bar area, we were asked by a young waitress, whose name I didn’t take note of, if we would like a drink, which, incidentally, was “on the house” and we duly ordered and received 2 well prepared drinks. After a few minutes we were ready to order our meals and it was a very easy task as there were a number of young waitresses available. Our meals arrived in good time and both of us were very happy 😃 with our choices as they were very tasty. As the purpose of our trip to Belfast was to attend a concert in the SSE ARENA, (THE CORRS, BRILLIANT 🤩) we gave ourselves plenty of time to travel in, as the Landsdowne is located a couple of miles outside the City Centre. Although, having said that, it was only a short drive from the hotel to the concert venue and the service, quality and standards of the Landsdowne, far outweighed the mediocre service, quality and standards of the large hotel chain, where we would normally have stayed when attending a concert! On our return to the hotel, shortly before 11pm, we entered the bar area, which was buzzing with the sound of music being played by a couple of guys who were playing music to suit the crowd that was a great mixture of young and old! Once again we were greeted with a big smile and cheery hello from the young barman, John, who was in the process of serving another customer, but he took time to greet us and to also take our order. As the night progressed we got chatting to several other members of the bar staff, Hannah, Sean, both were very friendly and chatty! I noticed a guy behind the bar, who was obviously a manager and I made a point of talking to him, Ronnie, praising him for the way in which his staff team members had been working very hard to please the customers. After a bit of a late night we were glad that breakfast was being served until 11.30 and we throughly enjoyed a well cooked and delicious breakfast meal. Even on checkout the young lady, Casey, was very pleased y that we had enjoyed our time in the Landsdowne and she told us that she hoped to see us again sometime soon! All in all we were very pleased with how we were treated during our time in the Landsdowne and I have no doubt that the next concert we attend in Belfast, will be accompanied by a stay
