Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa

Not a five star hotel. 3 star at best. Never enough sun loungers by pool- as such people reserving sun loungers from very early morning! The beach is like a rubbish dumb, covered in sea **** and actual rubbish. Jelly fish in the sea so you cannot swim. The food is not bad very average- nothing at all will blow you away. To use the speciality restaurants it is first come first serve with no booking so we were advised the only way to get a table at a reasonable time is to be at them at 6pm otherwise we would likely have to wait until after 9pm. The staff are in the most part very nice and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable although a number of times we were left without towels and had to wait after our showers for housekeeping to bring them. Coffee machine in the room was broken. There is no bath which is an issue if you have small children although they did provide a plastic (albeit tatty) baby bath on request. The worst part of the hotel is that the Taxi company located just outside the gates charged extortionate prices ($100 for a 15 min trip). Uber is available in the area so we decided to go for a Uber instead ($15 dollars!) but when the Uber driver arrived taxi drivers scared him away and threatened him not to return by moving their cars around him and aggressively surrounding his car . This left us feeling unsafe and trapped. Either we paid the crazy taxi rates or we were prisoner in the hotel where we were unable to get sunbed for the family as they were all reserved with towels by 7am! One day we had no choice but to clear an area on the beach of the seaweed and actual rubbish so our daughter could play and we could have a sun lounger. One family we met advised us that they ended up having to rent a car because the taxi drivers tried to rip them off so badly it was cheaper to hire a car for 3 days than it is to take a taxi on a 10 min journey to the local town. The road leading up to the hotel is in nothing short of disarry. We were advised this is because the hotels allow their overflow water to run on to the road so the road is permanently saturated and therefore the pot holes are more like sink holes!! The pool tiles were broken and each member of our party (6 adults and 3 children) ended up with cuts on hands or feet. Gift shop on site charging ridiculous prices- $43 for a small plastic bucket and spade!

Waldorf Astoria Cancun

The hotel is elegant and well looked after/clean. The rooms were very clean and spacious with balcony and sea view. All the staff are very attentive, friendly and work hard to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. Esteban, who works at the pool, went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. So kind and attentive - a true gem of a person. I did not try the spa but everyone I spoke to said the massages were out of this world and the spa must have been beautiful and serene. The food we had at the hotel was outstanding. Pool food, breakfast, lunch and dinners were all delicious and plentiful (we attended a corporate event but food was provided by the hotel). Overall, our few days at the Waldorf Astoria in Cancun was a very positive experience.
Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort

Every time I look back on my holi, I think of the hotel and how much I enjoyed staying here, & that I’m so glad we did as at first we weren’t sure as it’s not adults only. I remember the lovely scent when you walk in, cleanliness 10/10, interior is goals, my favourite was lunch time as there’s different food trucks from tacos, burger & chips, ceviche… Some days in the lobby they’ll also put out selection of biscuits/sweet treats to have with a hot drink. The breakfast buffet also amazing!!! I miss having their freshly cooked omelettes & the hashbrowns. They even have an ice cream bar. Quite honestly just enjoyed myself eating. We stumbled across a show once in the hotel as were waiting for a dinner table, took us by surprise as it was so good the entertainers.
Comfort Inn Cancún Aeropuerto

Although the facilities are average, the hygiene and reception are okay. A relatively cheap hotel in Cancun that provides simple breakfast and car-hailing services. There is a bus stop at the door that can reach Cancun City, but the language barrier prevents you from taking it. When you go out, turn left and there is a small supermarket about 200 meters away where you can buy some food. Turn right and there is a gas station. There are people setting up stalls and selling food at the gas station.
Dreams Natura Resort and Spa

We had a great time and experience at Dreams Natura. We traveled with our 6 and 7 year old and they loved the pools and the slides. They also loved spending time at the Explorer’s Club and enjoyed all their activities. Special thanks to Rebeca, Xóchitl, Samantha, Frida, Karla, Alexa for always making sure the kids had a great time. The waiters at the pools were very attentive, especially Nancy and Jesus. Brenda at World Cafe also provided great service. Daniel at Oceana made the most delicious dessert for us! Angel from entertainment was also great and we enjoyed the backstage hotel tour. The Spa was amazing! Luz, Miriam, and Brenda were great. There could be more attention placed on the aesthetics of the rooms and bathrooms (paint, scratches, etc) but overall great service.
