We were so happy that we chose to stay at the Adora for the 3 days we had in Lake Bled. The hotel is charming — a beautiful hotel literally on Lake Bled with spectacular views and lovely, well-appointed rooms with just the right amount of warm and inviting touches. And the people who work there are also wonderful; the service was top-notch, with everyone being so nice and helpful. This is definitely a destination to put on your list for an incredible visit. The hotel itself was very pretty, so charming from the outside. We stayed in a family room, which had 2 bedrooms and a sizable living area with comfy couches and chairs. The rooms were lovely, with nice linens and really good pull-down metallic shutters and curtains for sleeping. But, you didn’t really want to close them for too long because the views of Bled Castle and Bled Island were truly incredible! We were just amazed. The rooms included a nice Keurig coffee maker, lovely fruit, candies and chocolates. The bathroom was spacious and bright, with a good rain showerhead. We met several of the people who work there and they were all very helpful — Allan and Zoya were especially knowledgeable during our stay. And Evita helped us tremendously with our planning by answering our questions on WhatsApp before the trip. And, we have to say a huge Thank You to everyone at the hotel because a member of our family got quite sick with a stomach bug he picked up on our last day in Venice before we arrived at Adora. They helped us with some over-the-counter medicines as a first measure, and then helped us get to the urgent care center in Bled, which was very excellent. The owner of the hotel also helped us and her son, Maxim, was very kind to drive us to and back from the urgent care. We are so very grateful for all of the help and kindness that day. Fortunately, we were still able to later enjoy some of the truly delicious food from Chef Domen Demsar. Wow!!! He is truly talented and we were blown away with his dinner creations. We sadly weren’t able to do the tasting menu as we had planned, but the kitchen was able to accomodate an ala carte order and we are so glad. We enjoyed a remarkable shrimp bisque, some ravioli filled with local pork, and sea bass served on top of squid ink cauliflower served with local asparagus and fish oil foam. Truly a delicious meal to remember! The location of the hotel is excellent, with super easy access to a walking path that you can take all of the way around the lake (3.7 miles) and very close access to the pletna boats, which are rowed by human power across the lake to Bled Island. It includes parking spots for the guests. It is also within close walking distance to many good places to eat and easy driving to many more. If you’re heading to Lake Bled, we would highly recommend the Adora Luxury Hotel!
