The room was cosy with heater provided and light breakfast was available. Bathroom facilities are not great but did the job for one night. The bar was however a bit overwhelming with drunken loud swearing patrons who were continuing to be served alcohol. I went to my room around 9 and the noise from the bar continued to midnight with further noise until 1 am from what I think was staff clearing up. This was not just usual noise from a bar it was horrendous. I raised these concerns in feedback to the hotel before leaving reviews. The response was "as stated we are a hotel. are you a trained bar manager.". It's a shame really as if the staff dealt with patrons who were over the top then thus would be a nice enough stop over point. Perhaps further staff training in customer relations would be helpful

This is a genuinely local pub with an old school vibe. Really welcoming landlady and well stocked bar. Great place to drop in for a drink and the menu looked good too. If you prefer a relaxed experience with a slice of local history you will love this pub.

A very lovely pub where the locals were welcoming and an outstanding landlady. Just stopped in for a quick drink and enjoyed every bit of the vibe. Well stocked bar, plenty of parking and looked like a tasty menu. Has a lot of history/photos on the walls - built in 1861
