Fourth visit to the hotel. Took my partner and two grown up daughters. Lots of good stuff, but booked for this year based upon our experience last year and having recommended it to lots of friends over the last twelve months I will not do so again. Positives The layout is great, the concept is great, many of the staff from last year were as engaging, positive and diligent as they always have been. Great setting, terrific time of year to go and in terms of food and drink selection the whole place is great Negatives In all three, one is not the fault of the hotel, but two are and I have no doubt they are driven by economic factors. 1. Prices have gone up significantly which is probably a fair reflection of the service that I have experienced previously. The contrast in terms of some of the guests between last year and this was incredible. The level of drunkenness and foul language from one particular group ruined the experience for many people, Despite requests to calm down/moderate their behaviour they carried on, makes you prod to be British (not) This is not the fault of the hotel who did all they could to deal with the issue 2. Despite the resort being approximately 3/4 full a number of restaurants were closed, including the 24 hour Bistro and the fish restaurant. Last year with much lower occupancy levels they were both open, This effectively forced everyone into the buffet (which is great) or the Italian and Turkish (which were both woeful and could not cope) This was raised with the General Manager (following a conversation with Guest Relations) who gave me a 20 minute lecture on the economics of all inclusive resorts and how merging 'concepts' was a positive for guests in terms of mixing with fellow guests. This was followed by a number of inducements, presumably with an eye to reviews etc. 3. Despite the fact that lots of the staff we had seen before being excellent there was clearly a number of staff who were disgruntled by the closures of facilities and no doubt the laying of staff prior to the end of season. This is a real shame, because the superb service, smiles and interaction were the icing on the cake. This was all typified by the experience of myself and fellow guests who had noticed that on all websites (including Titanic Hotels) that there was no availability in October 2025 (traditionally we go the last two weeks of October) When several approached Guest Relations with a view to booking direct with the hotel based on flights that we could book they were faced with a simple referral to the Titanic website (which is a Turkish number) rather than as has happened previously, 20 minutes spent looking for deals that suits the hotel and suits the customer. Trying to find out the dates the hotel are open in 2025 were met with shrugged shoulders, not a massive issue for me, but if you are trying to book for October half term you need to know! In essence, really glad I got a deal when I was there last year, but as I explained to
