Russelltown Inn

The Russellville Inn is a historic site and our room was very nice, very clean with a small fridge, lovely robes, nice grooming products. We were quite surprised to be awakened at 8 am by a sharp, loud knock on the door announcing breakfast. We were aware they would bring it, not aware that meant get up now! Soon after that a vacuum went to work on the uneven wood floors just outside our door--it was barely 9 a.m. This was not the restful morning we envisioned! We obediently got up, dressed and left to search for some breakfast. When we mentioned the noise of the vacuum to the hostess she simply said she thought we were up for breakfast--she was obviously pleased we were up and out. Sum it up to say we were pleased with the accommodations, we were quite disappointed in the hospitality.

We stayed at the Russelltown Inn for 3 nights. Accommodations were lovely; very comfy bed, fresh and clean linens and towels provided. The Inn offers high-end lotions, shampoos and body wash from local purveyor, East Coast Glow. We loved the products so much that my husband and I went to the store to purchase some lotions and soap to take back home (Toronto). The Inn's Gladys and Morgan were wonderful hosts and ensured that anything we needed was accommodated. Breakfast was delivered every morning in a quaint wooden box with a huge thermos of hot coffee. We highly recommend the Russelltown Inn, which is close to many hiking trails and beautiful sea vistas.

This B&B is right in the center of the best part of town. Close to the restaurants with adequate parking. We had the Gosling Cottage upper level, which is a very nice room, though up a set of stairs. Breakfast is in the room and comes in a box with yogurt, fruit and egg or granola. Coffee too and one can make tea of decaf in the room at all times.

Lovely B&B, with adequate living space and light continental breakfast brought to our room. Close to everything we wanted to see in Bonavista. Staff members that we encountered at the house were friendly and helpful. The rooms in the main house are a little outdated, nicer in the newer bungalow at the back.

Spotless, charming, spacious room. Great bed. Best shower I’ve had since leaving home. We had three of the four bedrooms in the Roswell House so took advantage of the dining area for shared activities. Thoughtful extras like French press coffee maker, nice tea, cookies. Lovely breakfast box - homemade granola, yogurt, cheese, nice muffin, coffee,banana on the day we stayed. Highly recommend this place!

The Tinsmith room we stayed in was really nicely decorated and very cozy. It was close to all of the sites and restaurants which was nice. Having the continental breakfast meant we could have breakfast in bed every morning with a warm cup of coffee. The only negative comment of our experience would be the sound of the other guest snoring above us. Since the building is quite old historically, it really felt like he was in the room with us.
