Econo Lodge Hotel Bradford

Though difficult to find off the inter-state, this older hotel has nice rooms. Staff was helpful on check-in. Rooms were ready a little later than check-in, but very clean and had a choice of fresh air, not just air-conditioning. Though this hotel has seen better times, if you are not looking for more than basic amenities, it is good value.

If you take a look at the list of other hotels in the area, you will see that they are grossly overpriced for the area and expectations. This is even more true if you are working in the area and just want a place that provides an area for which 1) your stuff will be there when you get back 2) your vehicle won't be bothered, and (3) it's quiet. At the Econo Lodge you will find those things, but you must accept and overlook the fact that the outside appearance is unpainted, unattractive, dated, and shoddy. Once you get past that, you will find a daily rate that the other hotels ought to be charging but aren't. Instead, you are paying a rate higher than you should but more reasonable than the others. The positive to this is (if you don't look at the outside, consider the worn rugs on the walkway, the dirty and creaky entry doors, the paint peeling and faded on the outside façade, and the overall shabbiness of the building, you will see that the rooms are clean, the bedding is clean, the bathrooms are updated and clean, and it's quiet, SAFE, and away from the hubbub you might find closer to town. I'm not saying it's high end, but if you come in, close the door, and ignore the wear and tear on an old building that has been given up on, you will be ok. In other words, if you just don't care and want a place to sleep and be safe, this is it.
