Large towels, Decaffeinated Espresso, Very good breakfast, Nice hotel room, Drawers are available, 4 plugs and I USB jack in the bedroom and 2 plugs in the bathroom. 1 plug in the hallway. Great paper products (tissues and toilet paper) Very helpful friendly people. Good Wi-Fi.

This is one of the best hotels Ive ever visited. Easy to find and park. Fast check in and the staff carried my 2 bags to the room. Hotel restaurant = fine dining with great winelist. All the hotels are filled with elefants. Breakfast = great !

Hotel curato nei dettagli delle zone comuni. Pulizia estremamente attenta nella sala colazioni e nella nostra camera comfort. Bagno in camera piccolo ma essenziale senza finestra, con vasca da bagno scomoda (possibilità di stare in piedi x fare la doccia ma molto scomodo in quanto si rischia di bagnare dappertutto). NOTA NEGATIVA, camera eccessivamente calda, in una serata come quella del 15 agosto con 30 gradi all’esterno un mini ventilatore sul comò non riusciva a raffreddare abbastanza la camera stessa. La colazione però non ha parole per essere descritta, difficilmente si può trovare un buffet del genere, dolce e salato, frutta fresca tagliata e yogurt fresco, materie prime di alto livello e cottura ottima di uova e speck croccante. Parcheggio interno a 10€, per il prezzo della camera stessa potrebbe/dovrebbe essere gratuito e compreso nel prezzo.

Das ist ein außergewöhnlich gepflegtes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes, mit viel Liebe, geführtes und verziertes Hotel, ganz außergewöhnlich sorgfältig gemacht, also man ist erstaunt, dass es sowas gibt und zu so günstigem Preis. Untergebracht waren wir nicht im alten Haupthaus, sondern in einem Nebengebäude, der Villa im Park, ebenfalls ein wunderschönes, altes Gemäuer mit Zimmern mit Balkon und Blick in den Park. Frühstück großartig, man sitzt auf einer sehr romantischen Terrasse. Service ausgezeichnet, wenige Schritte vom historischen Zentrum von Brixen entfernt.

For a long time I had wanted to experience the unique history of the Elephant Hotel, to get into the amazing story of Suliman the elephant, travelling from Portugal to Vienna, mostly overland, in the 16th century. I was not dissappointed. Great sense of place, with plenty of wall paintings and carpets, to feel part of that story. The public areas are in need of a polishing, some new furniture could be helpful. Beautiful garden. Good parking. Easy to reach from the Brenner Highway.

Reserviert war ein Doppelzimmer Deluxe für € 290,00 zuzüglich Parkplatz (im Freien) für EUR 10,00. Übernachten konnten wir dann in einer Abstellkammer mit einem kleinen Loch als Fenster. Den Empfang an der Rezeption kann man nur als muffig bzw. unfreundlich bezeichnen. Das Essen im Restaurant (sehr kleinen Speisekarte) war gut, das Service aber absolute Spitze. Trotz Empfehlung von Freunden aus Brixen werden wir dieses Haus nicht mehr be-suchen.

This is hotels as they should be: very comfortable (in our case the new rooms we were on the top floor), 500 years of history, no heavy-handed corporate global branding (though did I detect and elephant reference or two?), the continual oversight from the family owners, location a short walk from everything in the beautiful historic town of Brixen, private park and rose garden with swimming pool. And an excellent atmospheric restaurant in which we ate on one evening.
