We stayed in Apartment 2121 recently. Being a ”Resort” we expected something nice but found we were staying in someones holiday rental. We weren't advised of this. The good things were location, size of the apartment and parking undercover (we had two cars). The down side, the apartment needed a deep clean, filthy vents in the laundry and bathroom, not clean under the beds and used tissues visible under the bed from the lounge, blanket had visible stains and not clean. The crockery was very poor quality and lacking eg no salad bowl, very cheap cutlery. The clothes dryer filter was barely attached. All of these issues I would have mentioned on check out but on a Sunday there is no-one there. The decor was so bad, no amount of mismatched cushions make up for mismatched cheap artwork and multiple colour schemes. I think if you are renting an apartment out there should be a certain standard and this one was lacking.

Terrible! Do yourself a favour and do not stay here. The room I booked via their website was a ‘classic room with 1 king size bed’. For $250 per night. What I got was a room in the staff service corridor. It was excessively noisy with staff running past, noise from reception and the car park entry to the hotel. Staff arrive early in the morning to yell out loudly to each other outside your room. Housekeeping is right outside your door and this area is best described as a forgotten corner of a hotel not suitable for guests. Yet, they are using this as a guest room for $250 per night. I’d booked a 2 night stay and on the first morning I waited in reception for a long time for staff to show up. I asked to be moved to the guest area instead of the noisy staff area. The receptionist told me it was my fault because I’d selected a ground floor room with my online booking. She insinuated that I was poor and obviously not able to pay for a higher room and therefore deserved the noisy and staff corridor. I insisted on a change of room and left the hotel for the day’s activities. It took them many hours to get back to me to say it would an extra $60 to move to level one ‘but the room would be the same’, just on level one. I was out for the day so couldn’t view the area. I didn’t feel like $310 per night was viable so asked them to cancel the night and refund me. I’m still waiting for the refund. The most disappointing part of this is the attitude of the staff. They had no regard for my concerns and no ability to manage my complaint or request for a change of room. They just insisted it was my fault for selecting that room. Their website certainly does not describe it as a noisy staff corridor across from the housekeeping and reception hub. In addition, the room was musty and damp (obviously not used often). The pillows were dirty and one had someone’s else’s makeup marks on it. They had shoved an extra bed in the room, meaning there was no couch as per the online picture of the room I selected. This meant no bedside tables or access to PowerPoints. There was no privacy from the street. When you opened the curtain, the cars and people outside looked straight into seeing you in bed or getting dressed. The TV is ceiling mounted to damage your neck. The online photos showed a business desk for work which I needed. It didn’t exist either. I was prepared to overlook all of this, but the noise and staff movements outside the room was unacceptable. Avoid this hotel and their lack of care at all costs.

Chosen for the location and boy, that was spot on. So central to transport links, shops and the river, it's ideal if tou want to explore. The rooms are so big! Chose a two bedroomed apartment for three of us that was huge for a city centre hotel. Good kitchen, washing and drying facilities and big lounge area. Reception were outstandingly polite and helpful, and a previous reviewer commented on the peace that envelops you as you enter, which is a relief from the hustle and bustle of the city. Just be aware that it is an old building. Hence, when your next-door neighbour turns on the shower, there can be some interesting noise from the pipework. Also, you are in a city centre and I was surprised to wake at 0200hrs ro the sound of a CCTV camera announcing to whoever was shouting and screaming in the street that they were being recorded- very C3PO!

We enjoyed our stay in Hyatt! Staff was so friendly and housekeeping did a good job in having our rooms cleaned. Breakfast is roughly always the same, I wished there was more varieties however the quality and taste is always there! It is also right in Brisbane City, convenient to all the malls. Will stay here again if I am back to Brisbane.

Room is cleaned everyday.
Not possible to check in early and at 2pm there would be a long queue at the reception and it goes all the way till the entrance.
Calls to Recep takes very long to be answered.
I requested for a 30mins late check out but the cleaner opened the door and came in even before my check out timing. Cleaner came knocking again awhile later and Recep also called me prior to me leaving the room even though I had already informed I will be coming down 30mins late.
Hotel is located beside a pub so expect that it may be noisy on a Saturday night.

The location is so good, there are many construction sites around, but it was not noisy because the soundproofing was good
And kitchen utensils and utensils were well stocked, so it was good to use
Most of all, I liked it because it was clean.
It was nice that the room was large and the room was separated from the living room and kitchen.
The warm water comes out well
If the weather wasn't cold on the balcony, it would have been great to sit and have brunch and have coffee.
It was nice to be able to do laundry
The downside is that the air in the room is a little cool, so you get a little runny nose in winter??
I like you!!

We stayed 4 nights in a 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms appartment PRO: - great location, we walked everywhere (restaurants, shops, museums, train station) - pretty and stylish decoration - very well insulated - a washing machine (clean!) and a dryer - very confortable beds - a small but nice gym - a pool (we didn't try it) - very nice staff But unfortunately a few disappointments, the devil is in the details especially when you pay a reasonable high amount of money per night: - the dishwasher was a bit useless, nothing was dry. - the faucets (kitchen and bathrooms) are so short that it is impossible not to put water everywhere especially when you rinse something. - the kitchen's bin was ridiculously small (and it's not a place to cook, but good enough for breakfast and an easy/quick dinner) - mould in the bathrooms and dirt on the vents - big stains on the quilts

The newly-opened voco is a delightful hotel hidden inside an otherwise slightly dreary-looking building. From the outside it looks a tad unappealing, but inside it's been thoroughly rennovated and is quite snazzy. Reception are friendly and the foyer breathes modern. The corridors to the rooms are quite dark and nothing special, but inside, the rooms have been re-built to look and feel quite luxurious for business-traveller standards. Breakfast was an excellent spread and the view from the high-floored rooms are quite nice. One thing to note: there's currently (July '23) major roadworks taking place one block away down North Quay, the road out the front of the hotel. There was no noise in the hotel but traffic out the front of the hotel moves at a snail's pace as a result. For taxi drop-off/pickups, ask for the corner of George St and Ann St. It's a 100m walk and you'll save lots of time.

The old treasury in 1886 was transformed into a hotel. Experience the charm and temperament of a century-old building. The rooms are large and the floor height is four meters. The staying experience is very good. It would be great if I could find gold, hahahahaha

GGuest UserWhilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.
GGuest UserStayed as family of four (teenagers) in one bedroom suite. Got early checkin and late checkout on Friday night which was great. There's no view in the room but wasn't much of an issue. The pool was great, but the swim up bar wasn't open on Friday, despite the homepage saying it is. It was open on Saturday but we were getting ready to checkout so really wasn't in the drinking phase. The executive lounge had good choice of food and drinks. They only had beers and wines so no spirits, even basics. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and there was no lock which was bit inconvenient. The sofa bed was bit small for 2 ppl and the king bed was very spacious. Overall it was great hotel for an overnight stay as family. Would highly recommend
This hotel is stunning. The staff at check in & out were super friendly. Room was modern, very clean and the bed was huge & extremely comfortable. Close to shops, restaurants. Public transport and the city. Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the deluxe room on level 1. Only let down is, there is no restaurant at the hotel so no breakfast room service.
GGuest UserWe stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.
GGuest UserI had a perfectly pleasant stay until thhe day before I checked out when someone from reception entered the room (while I was in there) under the impression that I was supposed to have checked out. It was probably a simple mistake, which while invasive is also understandable. No apology, but they are mostly meaningless anyway and it probably wasn't the fault of the person who entered the room. Hadbit ended there I wouldn't have mentioned it, but the same thing happened again when despite the 'do not disturb' sign on the door housekeeping also entered the room also under the mistaken impression that I had checked out. I called reception after the second incident and was put on hold for 18 minutes before they eventually tried to put the blame on housekeeping (and repeatedly got my name wrong, which I wouldn't have cared about if it weren't for the being on hold and the weasily attempt to put what was clearly a reception error on the housekeeping staff). The whole incident left a lingering bad impression, which is unfortunate after an otherwise very pleasant and uneventful stay.
RRosemary EastonOn arrival, there was no booking. Cancelled dates, however, were located by reception. The dates booked was arrive 11th and check out on the 12th . This booking had been changed and trip.com sent confirmation. This had not been recorded. not the fault of the Wellington, but yours. Receptionist was able to retrieve payment for 10th. There is still another payment that has been taken from our account. I was promised this would be refunded in 10 to 14 days. I will be waiting for this. Fortunately, there was one room vacant and we did have a bed for the night. I will not be using trip.com for any further bookings.
The Wellington is in need of some updating. Chairs in room were average. Mattress should be replaced. Showers should be updated. The Tv would not connect to any free to air channels without major interference. Luckily Netflix worked. Providing a continental breakfast for over nighters would be appreciated and hopefully a restaurant will be reinstated.I have been staying there occasionally for twenty-two years and see the detioration of what was/ could be a four-star accommodation.
PPHILLIP JAMESThis hotel is just a 5 min walk to the Queen Street Mall and also very close to the Treasury Casino. I arrived at about 2:00pm (the set check inn time), but a large tour group was also trying to check inn. So I let my luggage and came back latter. My room was located on Level 12, and at the back of the building. As the hotel is opposite a construction site, it was wise to have a room facing the back of this building. The view is nothing exceptional - just a small courtyard with taller buildings surrounding the hotel. The room was very spacious with a comfortable sofa-chair and lamp to view the TV (from a distance). The internet was hit and miss. There are two connections. One free with lower internet speeds and another network for $5 with higher speeds. I was given access to the higher speed network for free when visiting the reception for voucher. Some times the internet connection was exceptional but often it dropped out and you have to reconnect several times. The bathroom was very modern and shower was fulled enclosed with glass door, rather than a shower curtain. However, note there are two issues with the bathroom. The toilet is not accustomed too much paper, and was often blocked. (fortunately there is bathroom brush provided to unblock the toilet). Secondly, there seems to be some problem with the drain under the sink, that was letting water in to the bathroom floor. Hap to mop up the wet floors, using towels, which I put over the drain. Despite these problems, I would still recommend this hotel. It represents good value for money in a prime location.
GGuest UserI wish I had of read these reviews prior to booking a room. I wanted something close to the airport and at last minute this was all that was left. I don't consider $148 a cheap room for 1 night, a shared backpackers room would of been cleaner. I got a text after booking and paying asking me to enter more details again including credit card, it said to upload a photo, didn't say upload your licence so therefor never sent the room code, when I rang I got a lady I could not understand who explained I didn't need to worry because I could do it at reception, when we arrived at reception the lady told me I MUST DO IT OR I CAN'T STAY!! 1hr later and 2 others in reception having the same issues we were given a room code, the room smelt like a dead wet dog, we were on ground level the curtain was see through and didn't block any of the elements out, the shower was that small you could only fit in one leg at a time.... prior to arriving I asked if they had a laundry on site I was told yes to only be told once checked in the washing machine is broken.. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
GGuest UserWe’ve stayed for one week but the breakfast same everyday. I want something new . I am looking forward a new changes for my next stay in the next few days from Auckland.
NNevillehThe room was clean & today & the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for the shower & basin but be careful as the hot water comes our extremely very very hot & instant. It seems everyone has trouble locating the key pads. This is because they are digital screens, so when you arrive you just see a box & no keypad. Ad this is a keyless entry check in hotel I would suggest the instructions explain you won’t see a key pad but a little box & tap on it to light up digital keypad. We were in room 13 next to the closed reception and we heard many people ringing the helpline because they couldn’t locate the key pad for entry to the carpark or hotel. Our TV kept switching off at night with the screen message no signal, so we couldn’t watch TV any night which was extremely disappointing. We had 2 chairs in the room and one had faulty legs and was unsafe to sit on. We found the location good as it was a very casual walk to restaurants & cafes in Racecourse Rd. There is a fish & chip takeaway shop directly opposite the hotel. We were a little disappointed in that we would have liked a balcony as per the photo, but not all rooms have balconies.
