"Picked this hotel as it was close to the airport.
Had to have a room change as the lift has been out of action due to floods, and we couldn't do stairs to the 2nd floor. Great comfortable bed. Lighting in the room was disappointing, but lots of lights were still not very bright for reading. Huge room with a dining table as well as 2 lounge chairs for watching the TV, which was small for the size of the room.
The lady who checked us in helped us to our room by taking 2 bags for us. She was lovely"
"Only complaint is the location, because buses to Brisbane center has long waiting time. Though it forces this hikikomori to walk more along the beautiful river coast. It is advisable to rent a vehicle beforehand. Also there seems not to be convenience store/supermarket nearby.
As for amenities, there is laundry + dryer (AUD 4 + 4) and shared kitchen. But there are no towel, slipper, toothbrush/shaver/shampoo/body wash, so remember to bring your own."

"The hotel used to be an old casino in Brisbane, a 200-year-old heritage-listed building, which was later renovated and converted into a hotel. It's just a few minutes' walk from Queen Street, making its location very central.
I didn't encounter any Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, but all the staff members I met from various countries were friendly, polite, and very accommodating. Interestingly, I did meet a Chinese employee among the housekeeping staff.
The hotel has a grand overall feel, reminiscent of an old-world European boutique hotel. I was satisfied with both the cleanliness and the bedding – naturally, when traveling, these are the two aspects I care about most. We booked three rooms: two with twin beds and one with a Pallet king-size bed. The rooms had very high ceilings and were spacious. Overall, we were satisfied.
Minor drawbacks:
1. As it's an older building, it naturally has a slightly dated feel, but this doesn't detract from its overall charm.
2. Breakfast was à la carte and the quality was excellent. However, one experience was enough; on the second day, we all opted for McDonald's breakfast.
3. There was a small amount of rubbish left in the bathroom bin. It's unclear whether it was left by the previous guest or overlooked by housekeeping during cleaning."

"We booked a corner suite on the 15th floor, spanning over 70 square meters, and stayed for 7 nights. The suite had a bathtub and two bathrooms, and overall, it was quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was à la carte; while good, the options became a bit repetitive after a few days. We tried several restaurants within the building. The Chinese restaurant, Hua, was disappointingly closed on multiple occasions when we tried to visit, but we eventually managed to dine there once. We also tried the Vietnamese restaurant, which was decent. There's also a great Western restaurant that was reasonably priced and served an incredibly delicious Tiramisu. The location was very convenient for sightseeing; museums, the Ferris wheel, and boat trips were all within easy walking distance. We also enjoyed the swimming pool once during our stay. Just a heads-up: children are not permitted in the casino's restaurants. Parking for hotel guests costs 200."

"As a solo traveler, I found this hostel to be excellent. It felt very safe and was wonderfully quiet. The only minor downside was the uphill walk to get there, which was a bit challenging with luggage. In the evenings, the surrounding area was quite quiet, and food options were limited. Interestingly, there were many Korean guests during my stay. I shared a 4-bed dorm with one Malaysian and two Korean roommates."

"Great Hotel in an excellent location.
The rooms are compact but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
I think the best thing was how clean everything was. They have daily housekeeping so the room is always smelling fresh and clean. Check in staff are so friendly and there is no waiting. This hotel has four elevators so you never wait very long to get to your room or downstairs. Even though there are no balconies the rooms have floor to ceiling windows so the views are spectacular. Everything you would expect was provided, kettle, cups glasses fridge shampoo , towels etc. I needed some extra pillows and they brought them straight up. Location wise you can't get much better with a Cole's supermarket just downstairs and Ibis Styles is walk to everything, very close to the Casino and Queen Street and short walk to South Bank as well as train and Bus stations. There are too many cafes and restaurants nearby to list. The Bed was very nice and comfortable and not too hard like many other Hotels. The shower was large and the air conditioner worked perfectly. We really like this Hotel and will definitely be back again. Thanks to The Hotel staff for doing such a good job."
"Such a great hotel, amazing service and all the amenities you need, the room is very spacious and the view is beautiful especially in the evening, very easy to get to the center of Brisbane, would definitely recommend staying here if you are

"This hotel is beyond expectation, I love it! First of all, the location is good, it is very convenient to go to Queen Street, and if you like walking, it is not far to South Bank Park. Secondly, the style is very old, but the facilities are very complete. Although the reservation does not include breakfast, there are coffee, snacks and fruits available for free at the reception on the first floor all day. We booked a Valentine's Day dinner, the dishes were very exquisite and delicious, and the service was very thoughtful. In short, a great hotel 👍!"

"The location is superb. It located right at the CBD. Very easy to get around. The service was fast especially the check in process. We arrived early and got check in very fast. We complain about the cleanliness and staff was attentive upon the request we made. The staff were very nice.We got a free upgrade from 13th floor to 21st floor. The downside is that the bedsheet and pillowcase change was very slow and we waited until 11 pm even though we made request before 4 pm. The free buffet is also very average."

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, and it is very convenient to eat. It is located in Chinatown, but the hygiene is poor, the room is small, the sheets and bedding are a bit dirty, and the mattress is worn out. I will not choose this place in the future
AAnonymous UserThe room rate is cheap. I booked a cheaper hotel because I had to get up early to catch the flight. The only drawback was that I was given a disabled room on the lower floor. I had to get up early the next day so I didn't ask for a room change. The floor was high and I could smell the fumes from the restaurant downstairs. I recommend booking a room on a higher floor.

Very Good
GGuest UserVery convenient location for the hospital & tourist attractions in the city. Great value& breakfast was lovely. Only thing I could fault was parking is off the premises across the busy road.
RRay_ToowoombaVery close to the Fortitue valley bar area.
Pool is small on the roof top so it’s not heated.
Generally quite good.
Not exactly located at the central CBD.
__WeChat252188****The location is a major plus, very close to Central Station (within walking distance) and not far from the long-distance bus terminal (a $7-8 Didi ride). It's also quite convenient for shopping in the city.
The service was decent. There was a Chinese-speaking front desk staff during the day, though I'm not sure if they spoke Mandarin as we communicated entirely in English. In the evenings, the front desk was staffed by Indian colleagues, who were also good, just spoke a bit fast. Their attitude was very friendly.
Breakfast was a buffet, and the offerings varied slightly each day. Items were replenished fairly quickly, though the staff were quite busy, making communication not always easy.
Overall, it offers good value for money.
Toothbrushes and slippers were not provided, but toiletries were. For charging, only USB and Australian plugs were available.
Guests come from all over the world, with a good number from Taiwan and Korea. Hope this review helps!

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very conveniently located, just an 8-minute walk from Queen Street Walk and a 3-4-minute walk from the Brisbane River. It's also easily accessible by bus and ferry. The apartment-style rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, oven, pots and pans, and cutlery. Everything is spotless, and there are also washing and drying facilities. The most thoughtful thing is that while the room was supposed to be cleaned once a week when I booked, it was actually cleaned daily. Everything is immaculately tidy, which is a great relief after a trip. The hotel's security is also very good, and there seems to be an outdoor pool, but I didn't get to experience it, which was a bit of a shame.

猪猪半仙High cost performance, downstairs is the supermarket, close to the train station, the front desk is very warm, the original about 8 o'clock in the morning to go to the airport, and later started early, I want to leave early, told the front desk to get it right away, a few minutes will arrive.
GGuest UserThe room had an immediate unpleasant odour on opening the door.
The shower wall had long black hairs stuck to the tiles and remnants of old soap/shampoo. There was the remains of something that had previously broken off in the shower cubicle. The bathroom basin was mouldy around the plug hole.
The blanket from the cupboard had an unpleasant smell.
As I exited the lift on the first floor the lighting was non existent. I felt vulnerable.
There is not enough onsite parking spaces for guests.
