NH Collection Budapest City Center

Budapest|1.48km from Fashion Street
This hotel is situated in the city centre which has everything you may need close by. I was given so many complimentary benefits such as: - Early Check In/Late Check Out - 15% Discount In Hotel Services - Free Room Upgrade (From Standard Studio To 2 Bedroom Penthouse Apartment) - Complimentary Bottle Of Champagne With A Welcome Letter Big shoutout to Robert & Emese for ensuring my stay was superb from check in to check out. The staff always greeting me when seeing me at reception, which really made me feel welcome by giving me the V.I.P treatment. As for the two bedroom penthouse apartment, I was really impressed from the modern interior to how spacious the apartment was, as I originally booked for a studio room. I was allocated on the 8th floor which was the highest floor in the building. I had a balcony upstairs in my bedroom and downstairs in the living room where I can enjoy the morning views each day. The bathrooms in both rooms had nice aesthetics and was very spacious. You literally all the apartments amenities you may need from a washing machine to fridge to a stove and oven. For the spa absolutely amazing. It had a igloo concept of a design which was different but I loved it. Throughout the spa complex you can feel your presence noticed as I was greeted by every staff. The spa is situated on the other side of the hotel which is connected to their sister brand hotel Anantara New York Palace Budapest. Positives: Within the city centre, modern design, good amenities, great customer service. They have everything you may need for both business and leisure. Negatives: No smart TV, breakfast isn’t really spoilt for choice but it’s okay. Recommend going once and going elsewhere for the other days, such as the new york cafe which is next door or cafe ciruksz if you want a full English type breakfast. Thank You NH Collection - Budapest City Center for having me and your service was impeccable. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Ramada by Wyndham Budapest City Center

Ramada by Wyndham Budapest City Center

Budapest|0.26km from Fashion Street
We chose this hotel as it has just been opened and it still has this feeling of freshness. This comes with some drawbacks as well but let's focus on the advantages first. One of the most important one is naturally the location. It is just next to the main tourist places and you can visit all the main sites on foot. The room we got was decent in size; it overlooked the tiny yard which meant that it was - mostly - quiet. Apart from the air-con units which turned on and off at night both inside our room but also the generators outside. You could hear them when you opened the window. Breakfast is next door in the Mercure- albeit really good- it cannot be reviewed as Ramada breakfast. We found two things really frustrating which will prevent us from staying there again. The first one is the parking space. The hotel has no own parking lot and all they offer is looking for a place in the street. This is no good because in this area not only it is payable but also limited to 3 hours per day. Another option is a public parking lot a few hundred meters from the hotel. Not very convenient if you have luggage. The last one is the parking next door at the Mercure for ca 25 EUR per night. The receptionist at Ramada told us not to bother asking as it is usually full. Still we did ask and we conveniently parked there. The staff at Ramada are young and rather inexperienced compared to the Mercure. Finally, the glass door to the bathroom... OK with some pattern on it but still rather inconvenient when you share a room with someone. Also the elevator broke down one evening and was not functioning until noon next day and the hotel has 6 floors... All in all a decent place with no frills.

Mercure Budapest City Center

The staff are really friendly. I stayed in hotels here and there in Hungary for a business trip, and this one is the most like the picture. It has convenient facilities and downtown areas nearby. It's good value for money. I don't recommend hotels near the river.

Absolut City Hostel

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable and is very central. The staff is nice and there is the possibility of cooking. With the exception of this, all the rest is a disaster. Rooms do not have clothes or pads, there are only dust-shaped tents that let the light pass (there is an outer lamp reflecting exactly on the window), and the noise of the street and light let not sleep. The rooms are very narrow, the furniture is old and bad and, above all, something has happened that should never happen in a place that should host you: the box attached to the wall just above the bed, Fortunately, we were not sitting or extended at that time (a tragedy would have happened), and you can see in the uploaded photo, specifically that we had not even filled it. The staff then removed the box without even apologizing or understanding the severity of the incident, told us they would have talked to the ”boss” but then they didn't let us know anything.
Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest

Nice hotel is central location. Staff well trained and seemed to truely want to make your stay a positive one. As an example, we needed taxi service several times and always could count on getting one exactly as needed. A few issues: -You can only regulate the cooling by up to 3 degrees, likely reasonable most days but we experienced one of the hottest days in Budapest's history this past week. A hot day/evening with the heavy comforters on all beds does not make for a good night's sleep. -The shower is raised by about 4 inches over the bathroom floor so anyone with a troublesome back, will have an issue stepping down from the slippery shower. -The breakfast was OK, not up to the standards that Kempinsky publicizes is their goal.
2B Hostel & Rooms

Great location in the very center of Budapest. A great place even for walking, even for travel by transport, including round-the-clock express 100E to the airport (3 minutes walk). If you get to the airport with one transfer, it will be much cheaper by metro (blue line) + bus 200E (only 15 minutes longer). Everything is friendly at the reception, the employees speak different languages, including Russian (at least two employees were Russian speakers). The hostel is clean and quiet - very pleased. The showers and toilets are also clean and free. The kitchen (there are two of them: on the 2nd and 3rd floors) has a kettle, microwave, refrigerator, various utensils, no stove. You can have a bite, chat, surf the Internet in the common room. Bed linen and towels are good, provided at no extra charge. There are even two pillows. A small minus - there are no individual lamps and sockets for each bed. Wi-fi works fine, but does not always catch in the room, in common areas everything is fine. In general, I liked everything. With roommates and other residents, too, was lucky. If the opportunity arises, I will stay here again. I recommend. Thank you!
