The manager Edit was very friendly from the start. Gabor at reception was also friendly and helpful, in fact every staff was friendly and the cleanliness is highlighted. There is a huge balcony facing the Danube river, the Island itself is a gem of Budapest. There is a lovely red cat in the property called ”Vaci”, which is a bonus-I love animals. The kitchen area feels like a living room at home, always clean, with a reading corner and a large flat screen TV. This Hostel in its category really second to none! Obviously, don't compare it to Ritz or Marriot, this is a Hostel, but a very special one! I can recommend it to anyone, be it solo traveller, group of friends, family, you not gonna be disappointed! Family travel in a hotel that enjoys all spa facilities, thermal bath, massages, fitness room, medical center (cardiologists, ophthalmologists...) A very complete breakfast for the price. A very pleasant staff. I strongly recommend this hotel. The only bemol is the distance from the city but you enjoy peace and silence without price. The bus to the city is in the immediate vicinity.

We stay here when on business in Budapest, and usually don't have problems but staying in 315 recently we were put next to people having a party in 317, it was really noisy, some kind of last night in Budapest flight crew thing. Why would you put business people next to party people? It just made no sense. We got moved for the night to a quieter suite on same floor, 323, which was great but the next day the front desk ”miscommunicated” us to the breakfast area to collect our breakfast boxes. Its puzzling. Overall the staff are super friendly and things usually go without a hitch and on that basis I would recommend. I really hope standards aren't slipping as it would be a shame.

The lobby is just fabulous and the Cafe de Paris, which is attached to, but not owned by (as I understand it) the hotel is totally amazing. Wonderful marble lobby, friendly and very efficient front desk/concierge staff and the rooms are good, but not exceptional. For sightseeing the location is not the best - there are no good restaurants around and about and the food on the hotel’s balcony overlooking the Cafe de Paris is boring and very expensive - as is the wine, and drinks in the lobby. We would recommend the hotel highly to friends but point out that the location is not the best for sightseeing - that said there is a Hop on, Hop off bus stop right outside the door.

The location of this hotel was perfect for us, slightly removed from the rest of the big hotels but a very short walk to the river. The front desk staff was first rate service, dealt with a late checkin very well and were very helpful on checkout. The breakfast was generally very good, staff could get a bit flustered during busy times but there is a guide to busy and quiet times in the room so a good idea to keep that in mind. The bar staff could be a little frosty but service became much better when they realised (when we asked to pay) that we were staying ay the hotel. The room was very nice, a good size all the usual little things, plus chocolate! The robes provided were a bit tatty, but still functional. Certainly somewhere I would stay again.

WE had a great stay AT this hotel. . The staff was very kind and attentive especially AT the front desk (helpful and polite, handled all our requests ). To be honest the room was correct not spacious but Location was perfect👍👌 WE will be back for sure

Hotel is stunning with beautiful features - this definitely feels like a 5* when you walk in! Very modern and stylish rooms. Outdoor pool was closed when we went but the indoor pool was big and had 2 sauna rooms which were really good. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel downstairs, but rooms are very tired, they are not as bright and vibrant as on the website. Our room on the 4th floor had no pictures on the walls and lacked the basic items. You could also hear the upstairs guests which was very annoying at 4am! The bathroom was also very dated. The Balcony was a lovely feature in the room. We asked for an iron only to be told there was an ironing room on the ground floor, this was really inconvenient. We went for lunch at the bar which was awful, my burger was rock hard and took ages to come and they only replaced it with the same thing. The location is great if you are heading out into the city. It does the job for a city break hotel.

As a so-called five-star hotel, the bed sheets were not even clean. There were other people's hair on the bed sheets. It was hard to imagine how the bed sheets were cleaned. The most disgusting thing was the stench of wet sheets that were not dried in time. And I was assigned a room with a window facing the wall. The only good thing is that the transportation is very convenient.
