Best Hotels near Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires

Hotel bem localizado, fizemos muitas idas e vindas a pé, achamos as redondezas bem segura. Andamos de taxi também, no local passavam vários e não tivemos problema nenhum. Quando chegamos no quarto, haviam duas camas de solteiro, nós mesmo juntamos e conseguimos dormir dessa forma. O frigobar não gela, é apenas para manter temperatura ambiente. Pegamos o recorde de calor na Argentina em Março/23, graças Deus o ar condicionado estava funcionando perfeitamente, o chuveiro é ótimo, café da manhã é ok, o wifi que não é muito bom. Se você vai fazer passeios, ficar o dia inteiro fora e não pretende ficar muito tempo no hotel, apenas usar para descanso, eu recomendo.

Organized team, excellent service and sympathy of all. Clean, organized rooms, everything done with great care and incontestable quality. Our daily ended at 12:00, however, the hotel has a scheme to leave its bag (with all safety and identification cards), we managed to stay rolling in the region (and has many tourist points) The hotel was very good at the airport, and it was very good at the airport.

The location is good. The service is good too. They are very helpful, especially in calling a taxi. The facilities are above average.

First I'd like to say that the young man who assisted me when I arrived late at night at Up Tribeca was entirely professional and courteous with me, even though I checked out almost immediately after checking in. So: I initially booked three nights at Up Tribeca because the reviews for the hotel were all positive; however, the hotel ”ambience” is entirely artificial and - to put bluntly - weird. All the rooms are centered around an open-air courtyard (btw, that courtyard is the only fresh air in the hotel), and because I checked-in late at night, I had a very hard time trying to find my room number while walking the hallway along the courtyard, as it was lit by a few neon lights that (I guess) gave off a cool vibe, but no actual light. Because it was so dark, I mistook the wrong room for mine and kept trying to open the door with my card, until I noticed (again, hard to see with no light!) the ”do not disturb” sign on the door handle (sorry to whomever might have woken up to me trying to open their door.) I then continued down the dark hallway to my correct room, and when I opened the door, I was greeted to a completely windowless box of a room that reeked of synthetic air-freshener, making it smell like I just walked into a Zara Home Furnishing store. The smell was suffocating, and of course there was no way to open a window to get rid of it because no window existed. If you've ever watched the Apple Tv show ”Severance,” then you'll get the kind of atmosphere this room had: it felt completely claustrophobic and dystopic. I didn't spend more than thirty seconds in that room before I grabbed my suitcase and went down to the front desk, requesting a different room that had a window, only to be informed none of the rooms have windows. At that point, I asked him to call me a taxi, and I left for another hotel. To sum up: if you don't care that you're staying in a windowless box that smells like a home furnishing store in the local mall, you'll be fine at Up Tribeca. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend you book elsewhere.

Hotel histórico situado en avenida de mayo con 9 de Julio. La ubicación es excepcional si quieres visitar el microcentro a pie, cerca de restaurantes, tiendas, metro... todo a mano. En cuanto al hotel tiene mucho encanto, ese punto de los lugares antiguos pero con instalaciones adaptadas a los tiempos modernos para comodidad de los huéspedes, buenas camas, TV, baño completo... Decir también que el personal es muy agradable y te ayuda en todo lo que está en su mano. Relación calidad precio de 10.  Las únicas pegas son que no hay desayuno (hay locales a un minuto para desayunar) y que como las habitaciones son de dos plantas debes tener en cuenta que hay escaleras. Totalmente recomendable

No es un hotel, es practicamente un hostel, la habitacion que nos toco no tenia aire acondicionado, solo un ventilador de techo y una tecla que accionaba algo parecido a un extractor, habitacion muuuuy caliente, el baño no tiene siquiera una mampara para la ducha por lo que luego de bañ**** si o si hay que pasar un secapiso y llevar el agua hacia la rejilla de desague, el baño tenia una perdida de agua constante por lo que el piso estaba mojado todo el tiempo. Televisor de tubo con video cable, el check out es ANTES DE LAS 10 AM, aclarado en un cartel en la recepcion y tambien en la habitacion. Hay que dejar la llave en recepcion al salir del edificio y solicitarla nuevamente al ingresar. Ubicacion buena, a unas cuadras del obelisco pero ubicado al lado de un ”bar del metal”.

Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires is located on Avenidad 9 de Julio. The hotel was easy to find, being situated on the main thoroughfare. The avenue is really wide and tree-lined, making it a perfect one for a long walk. The hotel is within walking distance from some of the main landmarks of BA, namely Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada (presidential palace), Teatro Colon and the iconic Obelisco are within walking distance. There are several food joints nearby. All said and done, the hotel is in a good locality. I had chosen a single room and it was really small but clean. I needed to catch a flight at 5 AM and the receptionist arranged for a taxi. For a night, the hotel is really convenient.

The hotel is good value for money with amazing staff especially Lucas who worked the night shift. Had an issue with a taxi and he was able to help. I was also allowed to have breakfast super early (6.30am and 4.30am) as I had plans for those days, and I have to thank the staff again for everything. Informative and always happy to help guests! The breakfast is continental style and was plentiful. The room was nice and big, with a clean bathroom. I booked taxis through the hotel, which was safer and more efficient. The hotel is located ideally for the local sights, like the obelisk, metropolitan cathedral, royal house, etc and also has a cheap supermarket round the corner from it, which accepts card payments (most shops only accept cash). I was able to do a city tour and used the Calonia Express to go to Uruguay for a day of sightseeing there. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would definitely visit again. Habiéndome hospedado en Ibis Congreso antes de la pandemia, veo que ha decaído ya que ha perdido algunas de sus rasgos que son importantes para el viajero de negocios como asimismo para el turista nacional y extranjero. Una pérdida muy importante es que no ofrecen ninguna computadora de escritorio siendo que hasta la pandemia habian 2. Es algo que deben restablecer y se lo hice saber a la SubGerenta, quien tuvo una actitud desafiante al respecto. Otra depreciación es que no están ofreciendo el diario de papel como lo hacán en la prepandemia, me parece una excusa pésima sostener que pude contagiar covid.... La SubGerenta sostiene que ambos empeoramientos son parte de la pol{itica de IBis en la región, sin embargo, y tal se lo refuté, en países como Brasil siguen brindando ejemplares de los periódicos en papel y hay PCs en el lobby oen un Internet corner. Lo que sigue siendo de alta calidad es el desayuno, con mucha variedad. El servicio de bar también positivo.

The hotel is located in the center of Buenos Aires, very close to 7th September Street and the Obelisk. Clean and tidy, warm service. Had dinner three times at the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and it felt good! The football in the hotel lobby is amazing 👍🏻
