Hampton Inn & Suites Buffalo
4.7/5100 Reviews
I book Hampton Inn whenever I can because of experiences like this. What a great hotel. Honestly, the only nit picky thing I could even think of is the paint on the drain in the shower was a little flaked off. Everything else was perfect. Impeccable cleanliness, very attentive front desk staff, delicious breakfast, fresh cookies on checkin, coffee anytime in the lobby, comfortable bed, quiet room, very hot water, excellent warm color scheme, functional fridge, quiet HVAC, flawless wifi, plenty of parking, just all around great spot. Wish all hotels were this good.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo

The room is great! Clean and tidy, it is a chain of Holliday! It’s very comfortable to live in. The lobby manager’s fat brother is very humorous. The stay is very relaxing. The flowers at the entrance of the hotel are very beautiful. Buffalo is a small town in front of the east entrance of Yellowstone Park. It takes about 4 hours to drive. It is a little farther away from Yellowstone than Cody. But still very convenient!
Rodeway Inn

By the time I arrived in Buffalo, I was rummy from an 8-hour drive. The doors were locked at the first motel I stopped at. The location of that one seemed great, but I was too tired to mess with making an online reservation when I was parked right there in their entryway. The Rodeway had great reviews and the price was right. Don't let the chain name drive you away. This is really an old school motel under the Rodeway name. It is operated by a young, energetic couple who keep it spotless inside and out, and it is updated with appropriate electronic chargers, microwave, fridge, and TV. Outside there is a lovely pool and even a grill for those who'd like to cook their own Bison burgers. And if cooking isn't in your plan, there are restaurants next door and across the street. I am always on the lookout for a good old-school motel. They are hard to find amidst the plethora of chains. This one may have the backing of a chain, but it has the facilities and the feel of an old traditional motel.
Quality Inn

Stayed here three years ago and was VERY pleased. However, it appears to be going downhill fast. Surprised it's still called Quality Inn as it doesn't seem to be supported by the company, no soap, no coffee packets, no cups, etc. Got a real creepy vibe from youngish girl at the front counter when we checked in. She didn't speak, just gave us dirty looks. Should have left then. Got to first room and there are barking dogs locked in (warehoused) next door that apparently belongs to owner-family. Got moved to another room. No soap in rooms so, later a family member / employee dropped off a bar of dial (full size bar from store-bought family pack). As there is no in-room coffee, manager said there is coffee 24-7 in the dining room. Yet, the lobby / office / reception was closed until 6 AM. Even then - still no coffee. The rooms are clean though. Linens smell fresh. The breakfast provided some sausage and scrambled eggs, (I think waffles), rice crispies cereals but, not much, if anything else. Still no coffee. Appears that all employees are members of the same family and, other than the manager, none of them want to be there. ”Unfriendly” is an understatement as they didn't seem to want us there. Same family running the restaurant - the food is quite good but, again, NO customer service. We were an inconvenience to them. We saw other potential patrons walk out due to no service.
