North Texas Jellystone Park

Better than expected I was aware the resort was kind of "rustic" in the sense of a natural park/water park - cabin, but to our surprise, it exceeded our expectation, our room was ample, clean and great. The staff was uber-kind and attentive to our needs, we were provided an informative package with all the activities and amenities they offer, I wish I had more time than just the weekend to explore the area; we all had fun. This is a family resort so expect pets and kids around.

Family girls trip I'm so happy this popped up on my search, we've always wanted to stay and never had. My family last min said they would come early so I needed more room. It was just the ladies of the family so the open space of the premium 2 queens with bunks worked perfectly! We had room to have meals, visit, play cards, sleep... We went for walks safely, were close to needed stores etc. If we were to have other family with us, we would opt for the bigger cabin with separate rooms but this was ideal for what we wanted! We were also connected (like a duplex) to a family who allowed their kids to scream & cry non stop. Thankfully they were only there 2 nights, it was not enjoyable but another reason we would choose a larger one next time. The staff are all unbelievably amazing here, I couldn't believe how fabulous everyone treated us. We were even given a tour for our next family gathering. Definitely a place we all want to go back to!

I had a company event and started working with Kim 8 months prior to reserve one of the halls for my group as well as the waterpark and activities at Jellystone. We received the run around the entire time. I was quoted a price per person by Kim and then when we got ready to pay, I was told that original price didnt include taxes which i was not quoted for to begin with. I then made Kim aware my company is tax exempt for her to tell me they cant acknowledge tax exemption. After speaking with Kims manager, we were able to book without taxes as we should have been able to from the beginning. The day of my event Kim and her manager Patti were very rude and disrespectful to my guest who were employees my job. Pattie made it clear to come to the location we were with our guest to tell us “there are to many hands in the pot” and that the information we were previously told was wrong although she was never apart of any of the planning conversations except regarding the taxes. During planning we were told that our guest could use the water park parking by the waterpark manager however day of event, Kim and Pattie who are not even over the waterpark, decided that our guest cannot park there as that parking lot is for “paying customers”, as if my event wasn't paid for and the parking spots being used were not for paying customers of my event. We spent over 7k to host a event with 159 people and the accommodations for a group to have spent so much money were horrible from jellystone staff. Its clear they dont accomidate big groups on a regular basis and Pattie the manager made that very clear. She had a horrible attitude and was completely disrespectful. The entire dealings were horrible from planning with Kim to the actual day of the event. I will never go back to this location and dont encourage anyone to attend if you are planning for a large group. Way to pricey to get nothing but constant run around and inconsistent information.

I usually turn green (w/envy) of all the families that vacation together, Moms having Dads. Rarely do I feel that just me, the single Mom, is enough or is a “threat.” Trust me, someone else’s husband isn’t my soul mate. However, this weekend I never felt like that - Everyone was so inviting and friendly. Perhaps they were a little envious of where I am in life…. Vacationing with 4 “kids” 13-23 If you were at North Jelly stone and had some H3LL raising Aggies, blaring country on the golf cart - I apologize for nothing! Negative and tips - I wouldn’t select our 2 room cabin again - Site 207 could definitely use a tree triming. Low clearance even for this 5’1” lady. Candy bar bingo fills up quick get there early. Also - You have to pay for inner tube rentals and the water park.

Excellent! We rented a cabin with a full shower/bathroom. Cabin had a screened in porch. Included sheets and towels, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and a cooktop. Very comfortable cabin. Had tv in room and bedroom. We didnt use but they have a pool and several things to do. Store is fully stocked.

1st time trying resort style campsite. That being said this will be my last. Too many problems for the price, and left feeling unfulfilled in happiness with camping. First, campsite was way too small, like extremely small. We have an rv and that’s about all the room we had. My kids like to explore and play catch at every campsite we have ever been at. Not this one. Site was about 20ft wide which was crammed with RV, our fold out chairs right next to RV, patio table, and our vehicle. We had to weave in and out around our stuff. As soon as we arrived a camper who literally lives there had there back flow of toilet unsealed so we were smelling that for a bit which was so disgusting, we were supposed to cook right next to it. That’s how small it was. Fire ring was a piece of metal that had burned through and placed on dirt, I just picked up and moved. No grate on fire ring and no grill to be used. Called to get one they couldn’t help. Had to cook food at another campsite. Games given around campground are ok but limited due to one person employed at location. So we did not get to play certain things due to no one there. We tried doing the rope activity with rock climbing but they kept saying not open the entire stay, even though people were in there. For $90 a night plus $16 a day per person not a good choice when looking for fun.
