I love East Burke and have loved staying at the Village Inn. I was sad when the previous owners, Chris and Karri decided to move on but I was glad the inn would continue to operate and I was optimistic that the warmth and hospitality that made the Village Inn my 1st choice for our frequent KT trips would still be part of the experience. However, since the Inn changed hands to the current owners ( I have only met Cameron and Mariah), the welcoming atmosphere has been replaced by a snarky, hipster vibe reflective of “30 somethings” from Austin, TX and NYC. It feels like the new owners are trying to create a boutique style destination rather than a family oriented New England Inn experience. There are still positive aspects of staying at the Inn, but the management style and vision of the new owners are not among them.
