We stayed for 1 night in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was spotlessly clean and had everything. Very well stocked fridge and reasonably priced. There is a very good restaurant and bar within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were great and very friendly. This is a perfect place to stay when visiting Cape Agulhas.

Auf unserer Tour entlang der Garden Route machten wir einen Abstecher nach Struisbaai zum Kap Agulhas und übernachteten im Mermaid Guesthouse. Da wir zur Off Season dort waren, waren wir die einzigen Gäste. Wir bekamen zu zweit das große Familienzimmer im Erdgeschoss, sodass wir keine Koffer die Treppe hochschleppen mussten. Zimmer und Bad waren schön maritim eingerichtet. Extra für uns wurde am Morgen ein reichhaltiges Frühstück hergerichtet. Das bestellte Omelette war der Hammer. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Guesthouse für einen Kurztrip ans Kap wärmsten empfehlen.

Het hotelletje was door de Safari organisatie geboekt. De begroeting was aangenaam en bij het tonen van de kamer stonden de deuren en ramen open en rook het wat muffig verder is het een oud hotel waar nodig enig onderhoud gedaan kan worden. Na de koffers op de kamer geplaatst deuren gesloten, ramen open gelaten. Na een uurtje buiten rondgelopen in het dorpje terug op de kamer rook het muf en vochtig waarna we de badkamer ventilator hebben aangezet. Gedoucht 🧼, nou ja, een zeer klein straaltje water. Door de badkamer ventilator aan te laten was de lucht s-avonds iets beter. S-nachts aangelaten. De volgende ochtend gemeld bij de aanwezige reisgids en dame van het hotelletje. Deze dame ging direct in de verdediging dat het niet vochtig/muffig was en dat de douche 🚿 wel goed was en wij iets verkeerds gedaan hadden. We hebben het verder bij de reisgids gelaten. Personeel bij het ontbijt was zeer vriendelijk, vrolijk, spontaan en behulpzaam.

Perfect room.. breakfast huge and delicious. Parking free and easy to acces. I would recommand this guest house. Friendly staff. Struisbaai is a nice village.. very safe.. good restaurants around and Nice beaches..

The host was amazing. We did the Cape Agulhas Classis trail run, and slept over for one night. The morning with the run we came back late - just after 10 and the host still gave is breakfast and allowed us to clean up before we left. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Thank you

Really enjoyed the stay. Friendly and efficient staff and overall great experience. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The stocked fridge is a welcome extra. The location is perfect, very close to my customers. The food was great.
