Old Albergo full of charm and character. Great host and staff Easy walk into town/bars/cafes etc Quiet location with lovely views out.

Rustieke albergo met authentiek ingerichte kamers. Zeer vriendelijke uitbaatster. De badkamer met ligbad beschikte ooit over een douchescherm. Door het ontbreken hiervan lag de badkamer bij het douchen volledig onder water. Na dit aangekaart te hebben kregen wij zonder enige discussie een andere kamer met een douchecabine. Het water in het zwembad was tijdens ons verblijf net iets te koud, maar dit heeft ons niet weerhouden om in het namiddagzonnetje te genieten van een lekker glas chiantiwijn in één van de ligzetels. Gelegen op vijf minuten wandelen van het centrum van Castellina in Chianti waar je genoeg restaurants en bars kan vinden.

L’albergo Il Colombaio è un’oasi di pace nel mezzo delle colline del Chianti, a pochi passi dal gradevolissimo paese di Castellina. Tutto fa sentire immediatamente a casa: l’accoglienza della titolare, le camere arredate con semplicità ma grande cura, in stile rustico, la colazione in giardino, la piscina con affaccio sul panorama. Questa struttura garantisce serenità e riservatezza, la notte si dorme molto bene grazie ai materassi e cuscini di qualità. La colazione offre una buona scelta per tutti. Molto comodo il parcheggio gratuito adiacente l’albergo.

L'albergo è di una comodità assoluta perchè si trova a pochi metri dal paese di Castellina in Chianti. Dotato di parcheggio privato,potete tranquillamente lasciare auto e raggiungere a piedi in 5 minuti il paese (un gioiellino Toscano!). La proprietaria è molto gentile e disponibile,la signora addetta alle pulizie è affabile e rispettosa. Le camere pulite,comode, in stile Toscano ovviamente e soprattutto quelle al piano inferiore belle fresche.Il bagno è un pò datato ma pulitissimo...qualche piccolo accorgimento e sarebbe perfetto. Saletta colazione interna deliziosa,potrete comunque godervi il panorama facendo colazione nel giardino esterno.Tutto fresco e abbondante (dal dolce al salato). Per rinfrescarvi, potrete anche rilassarvi nella bella piscina in giardino col dolce canto delle cicale. Siamo soddisfatti e ,se faremo ancora tappa in Toscana ,torneremo sicuramente. Grazie per l'accoglienza e l'ospitalità!

Abbiamo soggiornato una seconda volta per capodanno in questo grazioso hotel essendone rimasti piacevolmente colpiti. Struttura semplice e pulita, camere in stile con letti in ferro battuto. Buono il servizio colazione con ampia scelta di prodotti. Punti di forza la posizione alle porte del paese ed al centro del Chianti, nonchè il parcheggio. La proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile. Lo consiglio!

We loved this little town and where we stayed close to restaurants, history of the area is amazing. all the staff friendly and helpful 😊 it’s not perfect

I asked at checkin for resources about wine tours etc., I was told to go to the town square to find out information on my own.
The bathroom was extremely old and extremely small. The shower tap would not move, it was cold for the first 5 mins then scolding hot. No other options to move it.
No AC
No screens on windows.
Not a great experience for a 3 star.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per una notte durante il ponte del 2 Giugno. Molto tipico, ricavato da un'antica stalla, in posizione strategica a due passi dal centro del paese. Camera in stile con letto in ferro battuto, soffitto con travi in legno a vista e pavimento in cotto fiorentino, non troppo grande ma funzionale, bagno forse da modernizzare. La struttura è dotata di un bel giardino con piscina attrezzata e di parcheggio. Colazione abbastanza ricca servita in una saletta. La proprietaria molto cordiale e disponibile. Prezzo assolutamente onesto se ragguagliato a quello di altre strutture della zona. Ci torneremo sicuramente!
