Pet-friendly Hotels in Catania

We got in early to Catania and they let us check in right away. The Hotel is great location near restaurants and airport. THey had free shuttle service to the airport, a 1st for all of the other hotel;s we stayed at. SHuttles were prompt and courtious. We did not eat there. Wake up call came on time. Only negative, the room would not cool down. It was set for hours and only went down 1 degree. THe bar fridge did not cool either. There were no ice machines that was the norm for Italy and Sicily.

The hotel's own car park is a little expensive, depending on the model, up to 18 euros a day. However, there are a large number of public toll parking spaces on both sides of the road outside the hotel. No money for lunch breaks, up to 4.5 Euros a day, which is very cost-effective. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and our room had a small terrace facing the sea, and it was very comfortable to sleep at night while listening to the sea. The breakfast was very good, and there were some local Sicilian dessert snacks, which was especially satisfying. The hotel is about 20 minutes drive from the centre of Catania. Fortunately we didn't live in the city centre, but lived in a slightly remote but offshore hotel. (There is a road between the hotel and the sea, and friends who are particularly sensitive to noise can hear the sound of the car during the day). In addition, the swimming pool is open according to the weather conditions. When we go, it is raining and the pool is closed.

We last stayed here 4 years ago for one night before our flight home the following day. We decided to do the same again this year and our stay was once again very good. Our room was overlooking the courtyard which was absolutely fine. It was spacious with a really nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The key card entry system to get into the room once again foxed us for a few minutes. We visited the roof top bar for a drink after eating out and were surprised at how quiet it was, I guess the hospitality industry is still suffering to some extent. This really is a fabulous spot and we very much enjoyed our drink. We payed extra for our breakfast to enjoy the view of Etna, which undoubtable is lovely. The last time we stayed we were offered table service and a great selection of hot food this time it was a self service buffet, there was a good choice and some hot options, however a little pricy. You clearly are paying extra for the view. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. When we are next in Sicily we will definitely return.

The hotel is great, the most central part of Catania, in the middle of the church and Elephant Square, but very quiet and private. The whole hotel has a good smell of aroma, simple but not simple, the bed is very comfortable, sleepless every day. The staff is very good, the English is OK, there are a lot of delicious people around, they will also give you advice. There are homemade toiletries, carefully crafted with Sicilian fruit, great. There is a private spa room on the first floor, you have to book in advance, the technique is very good ~ cost-effective. The room is very spacious, Italy has lived the largest room, hahaha

I had high expectations of the plaza hotel , Catania . Classed a 4* . The rooms are lovely , nice decor , spacious enough with mini bar . Bit shabby in the bathroom . Rooftop bar is stunning but very highly priced for what it is so one to avoid I’m afraid if you don’t want to break the bank ! Breakfast is nice , served in the rooftop bar area , lots to choose from with decent staff who try to help with limited English spoke . Reception area has musty smell , needs upgrading to match rest of hotel . Reception staff speak decent English but not too knowledgeable. Lack of public buses here so had to use the expensive taxis service which the hotel will arrange for you . Expect to pay between 15/19 euros to the central area wher you will find the Douna catherdal piazza with its many bars and restaurants and shops . Taxi rank beside side of Douna for return to your hotel . I fell in love with Catania but would stay at a more central location next time as the constant taxi fares did add up to an extra expense . Across the road from the plaza is a lovely beach bar with lovely sea views and the staff here are great so worth a visit . Supermarket just a few yards from hotel. No beach as stated , but you can hire a bed at the beach restaurant for about 10euro .

ETNA SUIT was beautiful place to stay very central near to everything (on main road) but still quite. My room had small balcony with view of amazing Bellini Garden it was comfortable, clean and it was cleaned every day. Before I arrived they where in contact with me and gave me codes to get in Check in was smooth and at that point a realised that I forgot my phone charger and they kindly lend it to my for length of my stay - I am so grateful On first morning I had early tour 8:00 and they are so kind to serve breakfast a bit earlier for me so I can comfortably enjoy my breakfast and be on time for tour. - I appreciate they kindness and understanding Patisserie Savia next door is well known for delicious Sicilian food From hotel everything to see in Catania is leisurely walk I'll definitely come back

Because the hotel I wanted to book was not booked, I chose this one blindly on the day. The room can watch the sunrise, and it is romantic. The breakfast was good and full! The only drawback is that some parts of the facilities in the room are loose, so troublesome hotel repairs are perfect!

The hotel is perfect for enjoying the sea and is very comfortable in the centre. The structure is new and very clean. The price quality was excellent. The rooms are well furnished and with the refrigerator. Also very recommended for a varied and abundant breakfast. The staff, all young, is innocent. The windows of the first floor are very small. I liked it and I hope I'll be back soon.

Catania left us a crazy memory. The owner of the bed and breakfast ran away and the keys were not handed over to us. That night was the beach carnival in Catania. The hotel is very difficult to decide. No place to stay but fortunately booked one night here. Nice hotel, helpful service and good hot water. Recommended to live. There are few parking spaces at the entrance and there are parking spaces on the street. But watch out for the ZTL zone
