Parking is 20 yuan, but it’s reduced. Nearby restaurants are more expensive. City streets can still be walked. There is car hall of fame but it is not open now. Overall it is worth looking forward to

For the price, it did the trick for a one night stay. It wasn't dirty, and they did upgrade my room as a Gold Bonvoy member, but the location leaves a bit to be desired and the place was nearly empty. What really took me off guard is that every hotel I stay in, even the cheapest among them, has free coffee in the morning even if they don't serve breakfast. Not here. They have a bar where you can purchase it only. That baffles me, there is a Starbucks across the street, so I went and bought it there (even though I hate their coffee). How cheap does your hotel have to be to make your guests pay for a morning coffee? Oh well, next time I come to the office in Charlotte I'll stay elsewhere.

This stay was during a time of transition with lots of remodeling (May 2022). Some pros, but many cons. The outdoor pool was filled with green algae water, and multiple rooms looked out over it. How hard would it have been to put a cover over the top? Not to mention safety concerns. The hotel staff used the closed pool deck to smoke, so the odor would drift up into the hallways and firepit area. The firepit area outside was quite nice and large for gathering in the evening. They had lost their liquor license, supposedly due to some management changes. So the bar was dry. Breakfast was pay-only, but the food was good. The new decor was quite nice, though pillows were horrible. This is a great location for accessing some of the nearby breweries. However, it is difficult to access the hotel itself due to traffic backups and limited driveways. Hopefully they’ve figured out some of these issues in the meanwhile. I would not stay here again unless I knew that they had straightened out their act.

This Marriott has excellent rates!! The rooms have nice decor! The water pressure is excellent in the showers!! If you are lucky you will be able to book a room with a full balcony overlooking a very nice pond inside the Ballantyne business park! When we checked in I used my Marriott BonVoy app simple and easy. I even was able to choose my room and use my iPhone as the room key….love it! The customer service was excellent from the front desk. The courtyard Marriott locations have private views with nice outdoor areas. There is even a store/gas station steps away from the hotel. The bed was comfortable. This location also only has 3 floors very nice!! Thank you to all the employees of this Marriott that keep the place clean for every traveler!

I spend about 50 nights a year in Marriott’s, here’s my take on how this holds up. Pros: Amazing customer service, some of the best I’ve seen at a Marriott. Newly renovated Wi-Fi capable tvs Mostly clean- there was a bunch of hair stuck to the walls of the shower, but otherwise was clean. Quiet Cons: Horrible beds:(. Serta perfect sleeper is the worst beds used by the Marriott chains… the Jamison beds, and any beautyrest is so much better. These Sertas are hard and kill your neck, so I’ll have a migraine for my entire trip now. This is the reason I gave 3*’s, and the reason I won’t be able to stay again. If you have a bad neck or back, just keep rolling till you find a beautyrest or Jamison Marriott bed. Con #2 : They use heavily scented fabric softener or detergent. The linens smelled so strongly that just touching them to remove them from the bed had my hands smelling afterwards. This is horrible for people with allergies / asthma and is something that is easily remedied and should be remedied for the future, for the health of the clients.
