A 5 stars boutique hotel located in old town, very convinence👍 Right in front is the walking street/ open market on Sunday. There is a school opposite to the hotel. Its rather noisy in the morning as my room is facing to the school, however trouist like us usually wake up early so no big deal. All snackssss/drinksss in the mini bar are free👍👍 includes cokes, beers, 6 bottles of water, lemon tea, chipsss, chocolate. 😅 😁 Afternoon tea by the pool is free too! Very good for those who want to relax in the hotel Staffs are very friendly👍👍

Actually it is my second time staying at this hotel. The rooms have good A/C, shower, bath products, like toothbrushing sets. Comfortable bed, and a decent breakfast with a variety of products/meals. There is kind of a ”moldy” smell from the carpets, but it did not bother me so much since I was traveling outside the hotel most of the time.

We spent a few days in August in this hotel and the truth is that it was excellent value for money. The friendly and decisive staff. Location in the square of Chiang Mai, totally central. Stopped here a few times, mainly because my Thai in-laws love the place, only because it is so close to the airport. Every visit something was wrong!! Not exactly the cheapest accommodation either.The toilet would not flush in one room, the taps at the bathroom sink turned with the handles in another room. We could not sleep because of the road noise (we were on the 5th floor!) in another room. The wi-fi was non-existent in one room.There was no hot water in another room. Every room the shower trays filled up with soapy water and was very slippery; dangerous in fact. The breakfast was OK for me, nothing flash. Toast, jam, juice, tea, coffee, milo, all the basics. Not real sure why people were climbing through the window to get here though. One lady I saw scraped all the brown off her toast, so that is was just white!!?? (Something to do with Thais believing that toast causes cancer I was told). Loved the sign beside the toaster that actually worked (the other one was broken on every visit and was just sitting there collecting dust). No cancer from that one! Words to this effect: ”Please do not put butter and jam on bread before placing in toaster.” At least the beer from reception 'fridge was cheaper than most shops. Nice and cold too. Gotta love it!

I arrived to the hotel and on the outside it looked really nice, and the staff was very nice. The girl who checked me in thow wasn't that great to understand english, so I was lucky to speak some thai. The didn't help you with your bags up to the room, but I didn't mind because I travel with good working bags that has wheels. When I came in the room the first thing that hit me was a bad smell from the toilet. (I was given a room on the top floor 608 to be precise. The size of the room was ok, but the furniture I could see how dirty and worn down rhey where. It looked like something the bought on a fleemarket. Further on I tried the bed it was the worst matress I have ever slept on, not only that the hotel is next to a road and at night it was so noicy from traffic so I didn't get much sleep. Sometimes I woke up and thought I had a motorbike in my room. I had booked a stay for 5 nights, but after 1 night I decided to move. So after one more painful night I checked out from this hotel and will NEVER return again.

My room (and presumably each room) had its own router which is both very nice (more reliable) and a bit inconvenient at times (the network in the breakfast area was different, the router was on an outlet that was turned on by putting my key in the key holder so it always took a couple of minutes to start back up when I returned). The location is good. It has the usual local quirks (such as not being able to flush toilet paper). They seem to be still ramping up after the shutdown -- breakfast was buffet for two mornings and order off a menu for the other one.

I had requested an airport pickup but this never happened - I had to take a taxi from the airport. The hotel is nice and centrally located. The owner/manager is very nice but can come across as a bit overbearing. The room was adequate although the bathroom/shower is very small and uncomfortable. It was very difficult to take a shower and there was water everywhere. The hotel is right next to other food places so there might be a lot of noise if you are a light sleeper. I had a nice time and will recommend this hotel :-)

The hotel was a shock, the photographer made a crazy job taking and changing the photos because the reality was everything else than the pictures. But I thought, even if the hotel is out right in the 50s and the room is a sinister limit (and as warm as a sauna because there is no air condition), given the price it didn't bother me. The small restaurant nearby was nice, the swimming pool that burned the eyes too ... All was okay, but very quickly, I had a full of buttons to slip down. I thought it was mosquitoes because, for the first time in northern Thailand, I often do not get shocked, so most of all, there was not really windows but 'glass stores'. I thought they were going through this in the night. I thought it. For several days. When I saw the buttons multiplied, I was swallowing cream and anti-moustic spray but nothing was done. Then one day I lifted up my ear and see ... bed punishes. Full of chips. My bed was infested, although the chairs were white and seemed clean, it wasn't the case of the matlas. Ignoble. First I was a bit afraid because Slumber Hostel is a party hostel. And I am not a partyer. I care about my sleep. I guess I was lucky because I was in a 4-bed dorm with very quiet people who also went to sleep pretty early. And it seemed that there were no parry people at all while I was there, I haven't heard a single sound of music/loud speakers in the night. It was perfect. (But they do warn you when you check in that you have to expect noise since it's a party hostel! So I guess sometimes it gets really noisy). I really liked the hostel's design, it all looked very new and clean. That's a big plus! Although they (strangely) don't provide blankets (you can rent one for 75 baht!), they did give me a free towel. Also there isn't any free filtered water available, so they want you to purchase new bottles. Business. They have a menu, which is extremely expensive (149 for a pancake for example). But given the cheap room rate (just over a 100 baht) it was really OK and I don't regret staying here. The location is also great! It's close to everything. Sam at the reception was very friendly. Thank you!
