I appreciate Greg and the hotel for several reasons. Mainly because the hotel has a no party rule and noise complaint rule, that meant quiet evenings! I had two rooms and was able to pick them, so our teens room were close. The rooms are bright and cozy, I'm a taller, bigger guy so this was a plus. The bathroom is a bit small however. Our room had a fridge and 2 sinks which was convenient. The parking lot wraps around the building, so there is plenty of space. The staff I interacted with were all friendly. Breakfast is not included but there is a snack bar, bar, Starbucks and restaurant on site. The pool wasn't bad, better for smaller numbers of people. No hot tub but for teens to relax or swim, it was fine. I'd visit again, they have several ballrooms and I can see hosting an event or two there. This was a NYE staycation and was worthwhile.

I needed to stay somewhere overnight near Midway and this hotel fit the requirements. There is free 24 hour Midway airport shuttle service which is what I needed as I had an early flight out. The front desk clerk was very patient and hospitable and knew how to set expectations, which was fantastic for me after 10 hours on a plane, and getting into Midway very late at night. The night shuttle driver was also quite nice. I had a hard time understanding him, partially because he was using a face mask and partially because I was tired and sleep deprived and have bad hearing. I had a great night's sleep. I didn't stay long enough to figure out what, if any, they had for breakfast. I did use the free internet while I was here. There were only a few odd things. 1. When I walked into the room, it had an odd smell. I believe it came from the slightly moist carpet. In about 5 minutes, my nose got used to it and I didn't notice the smell the rest of my stay. 2. The desk had no electrical outlets on it. There was one electrical outlet on the wall (thankfully I had brought my own power *****) near the desk. On the desk was something that looked like outlets of some type, however I did not recognize what it could be used for. That meant that all my electronics were plugged into the 4 outlets, 2 on each of the bedside lamps, plus the power *****. 3. There was a microwave, however, no refrigerator. I didn't need one so it wasn't an issue. There was space in the area of the microwave where one would have the refrigerator. 4. The water for my shower at 3:45 am, never got truly hot. It was warm and probably adequate for babies and the elderly. However it was not hot enough for a sleep deprived individual who likes hot showers. On the other hand, it was warm enough for my shower. I just couldn't warm up, during the shower. 5. The area by the bathroom sink was quite small. It wasn't a real issue since I could place my things on the table in front of the microwave, which was just behind me as I was facing the sink. 6. I couldn't figure out how to change the temperature of the room. The air conditioner was blowing cool air. As long as I was covered at night, I was okay. However, I wanted the room to be warmer, and the lack of a hot shower, made the room even colder to me. Would I stay here again? Probably only as a 1 night stay. I've stayed at other Fairfield Inns that were in much better condition. However, the front desk clerk and the availability of the 24 hour shuttle service to/from the airport, makes it highly likely that I'll stay here again for a 1 night stay. This was a last minute booking so I paid a lot for this one night stay. They got me.

I checked in at 8:00 PM and had to leave at 5:00 AM for a flight, so all I wanted was a good night's sleep. The rooms have connecting doors adjoining doors that let in ALL noise from the adjoining room. The people next door were just talking at a normal level, but they might as well have been in my room. I could hear every word, the splash of water from the shower, the tab of a beverage can being opened, the rustle of a bag. I don't even have particularly good hearing. They finally went to bed at 5:00 AM, just as I was leaving, so I didn't sleep at all. I staggered downstairs to check out and had to wait ten minutes for the computers to come back on, which was understandable. I asked the front desk manager to call the airport shuttle while we waited for the computers, and she very pointedly rolled her eyes. I was too exhausted to ask what was so unreasonable about my request, but it didn't matter. The combination of bad room design and unprofessionalism ensure I'll never return.

I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express with my three daughters, ages 17, 7, and 1 Aug 1-4th. When I say “horrible”, that would be an understatement!!!! We arrived late that night, about 10 pm. Upon checking into my room I called down to the front desk for extra linen because I booked the conference suite and planned to use the sofa sleeper since I was traveling with my children. First, the front desk clerk told me the hotel was fully booked but she would see what she could do. I told her “you mean to tell me there’s no extra linen in the entire hotel.” Nevertheless, a knock at the door with extra linen came five minutes later. Next, while opening the sofa sleeper, we found blood stained sheets on the sofa sleeper. I immediately run down to the phone and call the front desk. Oh it gets worse. While on the phone with the front desk telling her about the sheets, and she telling me there’s literally no one who can come clean the room in the entire hotel and housekeeping isn’t her job, I hear my 17 year old yell out “don’t touch that” and my 7 year old says “what is it”, then my 17 year old says “mom the baby almost touched a used condom”!!! Before I could even go ballistic on the phone, the front desk clerk say “omg, I’m so sorry. I can move your room.” So after being in the nasty room 20 mins, me and my kids carry all of our bags to a smaller room at 10:30 at night. I asked for a manager and was told one would not be there until Wednesday, and it was Sunday night. When I finally got the chance to speak to a manager, Maria Diaz, when I say she was the most unapologetic, non empathetic, unprofessional, incompetent manager ever!!!! She told me and I quote: “Housekeeping cleans 20 rooms a day, things happen, and if I was that outraged I should’ve left, that’s what she would’ve done”!!! No wonder, housekeeping is doing a lackluster job, look at management!!! And to add insult to injury, my bill was incorrect and I was charged for the larger dirty room that I did not sleep in versus the smaller one. Needless to say, I’ll never visit another Holiday Inn chain and I suggest you stay far away from this one!!! I’ll be spending all day seeking out any and everyone in corporate!!!!

I visited the Warwick Allerton with a group of friends over a three night stay. The hotel is older, in the midst of a remodel. Our room was fine, appeared to be remodeled. It was clean, comfortable bed and furniture. Housekeeping had to be scheduled and we ran out of toilet paper before the scheduled service. Additionally our wifi was continually disconnecting. Alicia from the front desk offered to come up to our room, reset our wifi and delivered 2 rolls of toilet paper. She arrived within minutes of me talking to her. She was friendly and very helpful. The hotel charges a $15.00 daily service fee. The restaurant was closed for remodeling and there was no food on the premises. There may have been a gym, which we did not use. I fail to see the benefits of the facility fee and would rather just have the room charge be higher if the hotel needs to make a higher profit on the rooms. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants. The valet service was also efficient.

NNicole Plantenis1. Didn’t asked for accesible room, but that’s what I got. 2. AC/heating system had a weird noise all night, you can’t turn it on because literally you won’t sleep. 3. Shower had someone’s else hairs in the shower wall, gross. - Hotel Manager: if you do not trust the team and their responsibilities, then you will have to do the rounds yourself to ensure your hotel is operating properly in all aspects. - Housekeeping manager: If you do not trust your people, you will have to do the rounds yourself. -If you still do your rounds but you don’t inspect the rooms properly, then you shouldn’t be in that position. Room fridge isn’t working in the rooms (front desk mentioned) so they ask you if you need one to ask front desk but they are charging for it, so who’s fault is it? client or hotel? don’t charge for something you need to repair REGARDLESS. Make no sense for customer service. Also, if you guys are having a group of “young teen/just turn 21” people, why would you put someone on the accesible room by their room? If someone requires an accesible room, in this case I didn’t required one, got assigned one, but imagine an elder person by their room. These “kids” were loud as heck until 4AM, fighting, arguing, drunk, crying, overall it was a nightmare. Normally I have a good experience with Sheratons, but this one is overrated. I chose this hotel because last minute the company I work for had a meeting suggesting to find different hotels that may give us a group rate for the upcoming visits we will have to do in Chicago, but there’s no way I will suggest my coworkers to stay at this hotel with a first time bad experience. Not sure if I would give it a second try. Can’t risk it.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!

YYuehanMJIt is very close to the airport, a little more than walking distance, and it costs 30 dollars for Uber to come here in the early morning. The hotel is equipped with a special car to send you to the airport, at midnight on the hour, and during the day when it is busy, it is basically half an hour. Sleeping conditions are good. Pay attention to the shower head to the bottom, which is basically a 360-degree opening range. Praise!

SsknoseyThe free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating. There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm. There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.

GGuest UserSeparate the truly excellent Webster Grille restaurant from this hotel and you have ... nothing that recommends staying here. But the Webster Grille is expensive ($95 steaks and up.) So, there is a bit of a mismatch. Check-in took forever because they had one person at the desk handling a line that literally went out the door. Hotels know who is coming in and should plan accordingly. I was here 5 nights, and 6 days and got housekeeping service twice despite asking for it each day. One day they came in and emptied the garbage cans and threw some towels on the bed and tossed in a couple of Keurig cups. There are just too many other options to stay here. The beds and sheets are pretty good, but it's just a place to stay - no frills and poor service. I will look elsewhere next trip.

GGuest UserWe attended the Chicago International Miniature show at the nearby Marriott O'Hare. Because that hotel was full, we booked the Springhill Suites. They ran a shuttle to the other hotel with a super nice front desk staffer driving. The hotel itself was fine and the free breakfast was above average. Parking was on long surface lots on both ends of the hotel, but there is also an underground garage. The onsite Outback steakhouse was a plus. Rooms were good, nice and quiet despite being near airport and freeway with a microwave and small fridge
