Visited end of Oct/beginning of Nov for 11 days. First impressions were not great. Hotel isn't at all impressive to look at, apart from a chandelier in the entrance. No welcome drink upon arrival as we're used to. We were given our room key and were told where the lifts were, nobody to show us to our room. Not a great start. Room: Room was just OK. We'd upgraded to a sea view and the bathroom was very small and quite grotty in need of a refurb for sure. Please remember to take your own toiletries, and the ones supplied are very poor quality and don't have a fragrance. Small balcony, bed was good though and the large TV was a nice touch. Food: Spent 11 days there and the breakfast never changed...very limited pastries (just one danish type and plain croissants). The one and only communal bread knife was so blunt that cutting bread was difficult. The actual bread was lovely though, different types of brown, sourdough loaves replenished frequently. I had two 10-min boiled eggs every morning...sometimes the yolks were hard and some times the white was runny, eww. There is no fresh juice, just very sweet 'juice' from the two machines in the dining room. Help yourself coffee from a machine etc. No melon at breakfast, lots of canned fruit salads, canned pineapple, etc. Lunch was a little better with fresh salads, but the exact same every day apart from one dish which was changed daily (roasted salmon, roast turkey, lamb, etc.) and maybe a different item in the grill area (lots of pork!) Wine is from a self service machine and is God awful...we tried them all once then stuck with water or soda. Dinner pretty much the same and not very exciting. We visited all of the a la cartes and the food was ok but you did feel like you were on a conveyor belt...there were no personal touches. Desserts were all pre-prepared etc. Drinks: Wine Bar - Great touch! The lady who works there is a sweetheart (best member of staff we encountered for sure). After day one she remembered our 'usual' and was just so sweet. Lovely wine which you could take to the restaurants with you. Highly recommend you do this. Patisserie - Really nice. You can request proper Bacardi, Gordan's gin, and they will get it for you from the top, right hand cupboard. If you just ask for a gin & tonic you'll get the local stuff. Outside Bars - Lovely staff but undermanned. Basic alcohol, no branded spirits here. They were pretty dirty too and just not inviting. Pools: Outdoor - Freezing!! Indoor Spa - Lovely, warm and calm. You can use the steam room & sauna free too! We spent a lot of time in the spa. Beach: We were allocated sunbeds on the beach. In 11 days our table was never cleaned, it was already covered in spilt sticky drinks when we arrived. The beach was never raked or cleaned. It's pretty dirty with loads of cigarette butts, straw wrappers, etc. We've never experienced this before. No drinks service on the beach, and the beach bar was closed for fo
