I like the place

The staff here were all amazing. Friendly, smiling and professional. From the cleaning staff right up to management. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We felt really valued and welcome. Food was good and the one night a la carte was superb. Pool was well managed and entertaining with plenty of sun beds. Evening entertainment was very engaging and a fantastic mix of fun plus some very professional acts too. The bingo wasn't the usual rip off for a free massage or a sun hat. €5 and winner takes all for over €200 prize. Very exciting. Drinks are adequate and served quickly. Unfortunately the hotel is in a very remote location without any bars, restaurants or entertainment within walking distance. Don't be fooled by "sea front location" there is no beach, just rocks. As always the tour operators play these things down. Bus stops are about 15 minutes walk away. I can't possibly award 5 stars due to its location and no nearby amenities which is no reflection on the great staff and superb accommodation units which are so much better than a typical hotel room. If you are someone who's happy to stay on site all week then there is no problem for you but it is quite small and you will get the urge to explore but venturing out requires a taxi. €30 return to Paphos approx. If you hire a car insist that you don't want a Japanese import. The sat nav, radio etc may well only work in Japanese. Where both the hotel and Jet2/Tui failed badly was not being honest about the serious D&V outbreak. Many people were very ill. Girls next to us had a friend hospitalised and needed an IV drip. She was diagnosed with Norovirus. Others were bed bound. If this happens at a school or hospital precautions are taken and communicated appropriately. Treat people like adults, ask them to increase hygiene and explain what you're doing to help. It's the right thing to do. None of this, which just results in speculation and worry. Food hygiene was superb so, as others have suggested, the pool was the main suspect. This would be a 3.5 star review without these negatives. Hopefully future guests won't have such issues?

An honest review from someone who has travelled all over the world for 40+ years using basic accom to 5 star+. I can’t believe some of the poor reviews from the same period. Firstly, Room was spotless, beds comfortable, food great.👍 Yes hotel is a little rough around the edges but I liked the old fashioned authentic Cypriot feel. Care needed on the grass + gardens but I’m told they are lovely in Aug/Sep. We used the many hand sanitisers provided after handing the serving spoons, no sickness bugs in our family! Basics I guess. Staff were so friendly, great with the kids, the chef also delivered a special desert each night to my son who has a nut allergy. Cats? So what - I saw one in the eating area all week. They wonder into most hotels. Hotel is not near main ***** but served by buses. We found it far cheaper to skip a €30 one way taxi to town & hire a car for the week @ £240. This allowed us to visit coral bay, Pathos old town + harbour , foot golf (5 min drive away) All in all great value for what we paid & would return again.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Atlantica Akteon hotel. The staff were exceptionally courteous and attentive, always eager to assist with any requests, which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and very tidy. The dining experience was delightful, with a diverse menu offering freshly prepared dishes. Overall, the attention to detail and level of service made for a memorable and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend!

atlantica akteon hotel is absolutely amazing,the food is brilliant, the entertainment is amazing,the cleansers are so good,day entertainment is brilliant just as good as the evening,this is our 4th time being back and we will definitely be back again.hands down my favorite holiday destination,they’re all so lovely here and make you feel really welcome,the room space is really good as well. akteon will always have a special place in my heart❤️
