A big disappointment regarding what I booked: - impossible to find the reception as the name is different - photos don’t correspond to reality, especially the skyline view - the hotel is empty and very disturbing - the reception staff is absent - unkempt and unpleasant atmosphere On the other hand: - large room - the staff was kind and when I complained they let me choose another room at the same price (but it didn't change much)

Not easy to reach without locals help. The staff is very young and inexpert, but they helped us and was very kind

The room was comfortable and clean. It had air conditioning. It's in an excellent location.

It is 1 minute away from Exit 8 of Xiaozi Subway Line 1. The front desk is on the 9th floor of the Hanting Hotel building, so you can easily get there by looking for the Hanting Hotel building.

The room is very big, the tatami style is very novel and interesting, the facilities are relatively new, the sheets and quilt covers are also relatively new and clean, the location is a few minutes walk from Raffles, more than 10 to 20 minutes walk to Jiefangbei, the North Cableway Station, and it is very close to many attractions. It is very close to Exit 8 of Metro Line 6 (there is no escalator down the stairs there, beware if you are carrying a big suitcase) and you can get there by crossing the street. The entrance is on the side of the building, with a direct elevator, and check-in is on the 9th floor. In fact, it is the same hotel as Tiantianjin Hotel.

The bathroom has a bathtub, which I'm not used to. It's not on the roadside and hard to find. I talked to the customer service for a long time before I found it. However, it is very close to Chaotianmen and Hongyadong, and you can walk there directly.

It took a long time for the smell to dissipate. Secondly, it is only so big. It is estimated that the bathroom is 1*3m, and the wash basin and toilet can be stuffed into it. What is the significance of this bathtub? (I used a wide-angle lens to capture everything. In fact, the bathtub is only large enough to sit in.) It’s very slippery and dangerous to stand in the bathtub during the shower, okay? A non-slip mat in the bathtub is simply better than nothing. And based on the first impression of entering the bathroom, the smell makes it hard to believe that the bathtub is clean. If you don’t want to take a bath in the bathtub, adjust the shower head to spray water on the front of the toilet to take a bath. Hey, the water pressure is not enough and you can only wash half of it. Secondly, the layout of the room is very problematic. The door, bathroom, and tatami all have steps or are raised, and the threshold is almost as high as the knees. Isn’t this a good exercise? The room seems to have many plugs, but they are distributed in every corner of the room, and there is only one by the bed. Have you considered the actual use of this? But it’s no wonder, there are various water pipes and air ducts hidden in the closet. It may have been some kind of office that was casually transformed into a “B&B” Third, the room hygiene is worrying. First of all, the room always smells. In fact, if you think about it carefully, you will know that the bottom of the tatami in the room is raised, but it is not sealed and the side facing the door is fully open. There must be dust and garbage underneath for a long time; secondly, the tatami mat These mats, the smell of this bathroom and the room, how can anyone believe that these mats are well cleaned? The straw mat cannot get wet and cannot be mopped like a floor. It would be good if you can use a vacuum cleaner to suck it up (of course, this may not be possible). The dandruff and sweat from the guests’ feet fall on it, hiding dirt and evil and breeding a lot of bacteria. Mites and small animals are probably the source of the lingering smell in the room. It's like sleeping in a garbage dump. The only unsatisfactory thing is the service attitude, but this is far from offsetting the above problems. I really don’t know how I got this 4.7 score. It was simply the biggest pitfall in the journey. I advise business owners to be pragmatic and not to add fancy things. If you provide the most basic accommodation, showers and sanitation, it will be worthy of a hotel at this price. The bathtub and the oriental charm are pure nonsense!

The hotel is very close to Jiefangbei, Raffles, and Hongyadong, just over 10 minutes' walk, making it convenient for travel; there are many delicious foods around, the hotel has good sanitary conditions, and there is a refrigerator for essential summer drinks.
