"Our family of four stayed in the Mountain View Family Room at Kui Ran Snow Mountain Resort from 24 to 28 December. This was a rather spur-of-the-moment booking on Trip.com, and while we had seen photos of the resort beforehand, nothing quite prepared us for the genuinely warm and personalised experience that awaited us, and the amazing view! Even before our arrival, the young and enthusiastic team reached out via WeChat to ensure a smooth check-in. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Every encounter — whether with management, kitchen staff, or the housekeeping ah yees — was met with friendly greetings and heartfelt small talk. What truly stood out was the personalised chat group created for our stay. Through it, we received thoughtful and detailed updates each day: breakfast menus, nightly bonfire timings, homemade supper featuring warm desserts, and even morning messages letting us know when the skies were clear so we wouldn’t miss the snow-capped mountains at their most magnificent. Breakfast was a colourful spread with plenty of options, and a special mention goes to the friendly barista who patiently prepared complimentary warm drinks for us each day — we were truly spoilt for choice. A big thank-you to the entire Kui Ran team. Apart from 小九, whom we spoke with daily, I was too shy to ask for the names of the other attentive and perpetually cheerful staff. Thank you for making the final days of our Yunnan trip so welcoming and memorable. I will definitely be recommending Kui Ran to friends and family — it is truly a hidden gem."

"I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU."

"In 19 years of life, never have i been to such an AMAZING hotel with such amazing staff and location. I’ve travelled a lot and stayed at many luxury hotels, and this is my favorite one to date. Not only was the room perfect, but the staff were helpful with absolutely everything. They arrange cars for you from and to the airport or other touristic attractions in the city, , they help with your suitcases, and always have foo, snacks and drinks for you whenever you please. Apart from that, and this is the reason i think the staff is truly exceptional, they helped me retrieve my lost suitcase from the airport after i had already arrives at the hotel, and i didn’t have to worry about anything. They also helped me reserve tickets to the snow mountain and confirm DIDI locations. They also ordered me medicine from the pharmacy because i didn’t know how to do it myself. And to conclude, they are genuinely the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and so so so helpful. I recommend this hotel 1000000%."

"The hotel room was perfect for a family with teenager, with a split level that provides space with some privacy. The room is very warm, a humidifier is provided, and we have a view of the snow mountain. The private outdoor hotspring tub is a real differentiator. Whilst the hotel is on the south side and a little further away from the main scenic sites, the location is less prone to traffic jam compared to the ancient city. Hotel staff provides a WeChat group for guest to leave requests and queries, the staff respond real time even late into the night. Whilst the hotel does not provide catering post 9pm during off peak season when we visited, the staff has been very helpful to facilitate food deliveries and provided plates, proper cutlery upon requests"

"Stayed here for 4 nights, and the room was upgraded to a spacious 50-square-meter room. The bed was large and very comfortable. Welcome fruits were provided in the room. However, breakfast was repetitive and offered limited variety. Given the dry climate in Yunnan, it would be a thoughtful touch to have a few glasses of water placed by the bed. Our room was spotlessly cleaned daily after we returned from our excursions. That said, I chose to use my own towels and toiletries, purely out of personal preference. The hotel's location is excellent for transit travelers, being directly opposite the train station and very close to the airport. It also offers convenient access to nearby attractions like Dali."

"This is the best B&B I've ever stayed in! 👍👍👍 It's clean, tidy, and comfortable, and you don't even have to get up early to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun.' If you want to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' from your room, especially in May, this is the top choice. You can see it directly from the floor-to-ceiling windows right from your bed! 👍👍👍 The room faces Yulong Snow Mountain. 🏔️ All the facilities in the room are very new. The shower room has a super practical clothes drying rack where you can dry underwear and clothes. The attention to detail is excellent. I stayed for four nights in total and experienced two different room styles, which I really liked. 👍👍 The two young men at the front desk, from Yunnan, helped me with my luggage when moving rooms, and their service was super good! 👍👍 The lovely landlady always greeted me warmly whenever I came and went, and she even offered me afternoon tea. It was so comfortable and heartwarming! 👍👍 When I asked for two hangers, the cleaning lady proactively brought me a movable drying rack. She said it would be convenient for me to dry clothes indoors. 👍👍 This B&B opened in August 2025. It's about a 15-minute walk to Baisha Ancient Town. The rooms have no strange smells, and the decor is simple and stylish, which I really liked. Highly recommend! 👏👏👏"

"Facilities: The facilities are excellent, meeting all guest needs. The heated floors, washing machine, and dryer are particularly convenient and thoughtful. The soundproofing in the room is fantastic, coupled with soft bedding, ensuring a great night's sleep. The fireplace humidifier in the room largely alleviated the dryness of Yunnan's climate. Cleanliness: The entire room underwent thorough disinfection, and the floors were very clean and tidy. The kids even ran around barefoot or in socks without a problem. Room cleaning was also done according to guest requests. Environment: The room offers direct views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You can experience the romantic 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' phenomenon right from your room around 8:00 AM. It's only 1km from Baisha Old Town, making taxis and food delivery very convenient. The hotel even offers thoughtful shuttle services to Baisha Old Town for guests. Plus, it's a pet-friendly hotel – thumbs up!👍 Service: Overall, everything was excellent, but I believe the service deserves the most praise! All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly, responsive to questions, and proactive in resolving issues. They answered every question and fulfilled every request! They actively inquired about guest needs; for example, they switched to a larger van for us, fearing the children would get cold. Knowing we had an early start the next day, they delivered breakfast bags in advance, and when they found out we were going to see the snow mountain, they sent oxygen tanks ahead of time… and so much more. Summary: I initially thought I was just paying for the view (a hotel close to the snow mountain), but it turned out I paid for an accommodation experience packed with value! I had a wonderful and enjoyable time. I wish the hotel continued success, a massive boom in 2026, and prosperity for everyone!"

The guesthouse further provides pick-up and drop-off services to and from the train station and airport. ## Service Experience The manager and staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful, paying close attention to every detail, making guests feel exceptionally comfortable. ## Room Facilities The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, with meticulous attention to detail. The complimentary tea bags are of high quality, ensuring a superb stay experience. ## Dining Experience Breakfast offers a rich variety, including authentic rice noodles and various porridges. They also thoughtfully provide afternoon tea. The barista is professional and knowledgeable; you can have great conversations with him about coffee roasting and different bean varieties. In the evenings, there's a comforting tremella soup available. ## Extra Surprise The guesthouse basement even has a KTV, perfect for enjoying a fun karaoke session and unwinding during your free time. ## Overall Impression From check-in to check-out, the entire experience was top-notch, combining beautiful scenery, thoughtful service, and extensive amenities. The overall experience was absolutely perfect."

"This hotel is conveniently located near Baisha Ancient Town and at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, making it perfect for catching the 'sunrise golden mountain' spectacle and exploring the old town. The hotel offers several great photo spots and viewing angles; the small garden is fantastic for capturing the 'sunrise golden mountain' effect! The rooftop viewing platform also makes it incredibly easy to see the 'sunrise golden mountain'. The hotel's environment is exceptionally quiet, far from the commercial hustle of the ancient town and the noise of the city, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The hotel even provides a shuttle service to Baisha Ancient Town, which is incredibly thoughtful! We checked in in the afternoon and were warmly offered complimentary afternoon tea and desserts. When we left in the morning to catch our high-speed train, they even gave us breakfast bags to go – truly a very considerate gesture."

"The room layout is cozy and comfortable. The projector paired with the large screen creates a cinematic atmosphere. The marble countertops and wooden floors complement each other beautifully, making the overall design modern and practical. It's really great, the owner must have excellent taste. In short, I absolutely love it!"
