We got married at Crossbasket in 2021 having a small wedding. We had previously visited the castle (prior to booking our wedding) and the service is the best we have received in Scotland. From booking our venue to the morning after our wedding the staff at Crossbasket were fantastic and couldn't do enough. The manager Rob, met us to show us around the castle when it wasn't officially open, he took the time to answer any questions we had and was fantastic. Vicki the wedding coordinator accommodated all of our requests and every member of staff went above and beyond on the day. We handed in a small bag of items which my husband planned to set up on the day, when he arrived every detail had been done for him. This allowed for a stress free enjoyable morning. We were married in the main castle and had our reception in the Stewart room. This suited our needs and despite covid restrictions at the time our day felt perfectly 'normal' (in line with the restrictions allowed). Our guests stayed in a few rooms which are huge and so comfy. We stayed in the Macintosh room which was stunning. My husband and I are looking forward to returning and staying again. The food was excellent with lots of choice and flavour. The roux menu is some of the nicest food we have ever had. We have since visited two ICMI properties and have to say they really set the standard for service and food across Scotland. We most recently stayed at Cromlix which similarly to Crossbasket had food to die for and service above the standard. This is something we highly recommend and we look forward to trying out other ICMI properties. Thank you to all the staff, if you are looking for a wedding venue (whether it be for 5 to 200 people!) we highly recommend this venue. Also to comment all of our suppliers had lovely things to say about the venue. Our makeup artist said it is her favourite venue to work with as they are so accommodating!

We stayed to see show in Glasgow. Beautiful quiet area. Great link with the motorway 5mins. An extra bonus we stayed during a race day. We had racecourse view. Very clean room with friendly attentive staff. It is possible to buy food and drink all night. A great bonus when returning late to the hotel. We will be back in October for another show. I would not consider staying anywhere else now

Excellent service from walking through the door Mark on reception was pleasant efficient and very helpful at check inn ,my room as ready a little early and was still allowed to check inn , room was good with no issues nice and clean bed very comfortable, all the staff are very pleasant and welcoming, food and service i cannot fault , for me the location is ideal being close to the M74 , a good overall hotel staff location and rice rolled into one , i will be staying here again well done guys . Friendly staff and very helpful rooms are lovely and clean food is Devine lovely surroundings nothing is to much trouble for staff members the chef even cooked my son something different than what was on the menu thank you for making our stay comfortable and welcoming will be returning next year for the royal Edinburgh milletry tattoo

Service was brilliant,staff really friendly great location

standard buffet breakfast and the service of front desk is above standard. A supermarket and some restaurants next to the holiday with plenty of carpark.

Great location by motorway with many amenities like spa , swimming pool for adults and kids also jacuzzi and sauna as well rooms are nice

Stayed in the Stewart suite and it was an amazing room. Downstairs was a comfy bed and bathroom. It has a coffee machine along with a normal kettle so plenty of choice. There was a spiral staircase leading to the upstairs where there was a jacuzzi bath, steam / shower room toilet and sink a huge sofa and TV. It also had a swing chair. It also had a mini bar which contained 2 complementary cocktails and other alcohol which you paid for. We had a couple of cocktails before dinner which were very good. The meal was a mixed bag. Both starters were tasty although the tempura batter was heavier than usual. The prawn and mango starter was excellent. My husband had the steak and I had the steak frites. Both were ok but we're a bit greasy. The breakfast was excellent I had the eggs Benedict and the eggs were cooked perfectly. All the staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.
